With the 19th Pick, the WFT selects....

LB JEREMIAH OWUSU-KORAMOAH

https://www.nfl.com/prospects/jeremi...8-5c5967f00096

Ron gets the athletic LB to complete the front 7 of the defense. Aggressive, fast and can cover. Underrated pass rusher and versatile

Who you got?

LB Micah Parsons slides right into our lap. I could also see a trade up a few spots for one of the top LB's on the board.

JOK is built like a safety, that worries me a bit.. I would love a linebacker but prefer the ones available in 2nd and 3rd rounds. Right now I would like Darrisaw, not sure he will slide that far, I will trust in RR gets the right guy

Trevon Moehrig, Safety, TCU

With the number of quality WR, OT, and LB prospects that will be available in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, RR grabs the best free safety in the draft at 19 to help shore up the back end of the D.

To be different ....

Zaven Collins, LB Tulsa. Which could probably be had with a small move back if there is a suitor for that trade.

Having said that ...

I want LB with this pick .... Penn State dude Parsons, or Notre Dame dude JOK, or this Zaven dude.

U still gotta take best player available

I think if LB Parsons gets to 14-15 then I’d consider moving up

It's not that simple. I mean they aren't taking BPA if it is an edge rusher, right?

Anyway, he might be the BPA. I don't have access to the WFT board, but some sites have Moehrig as high as the 16th best overall prospect.

I'll be happy with anyone at 19, its BPA IMO.

If both are available I'm taking Parsons else Collins.

A top flight LB could really put this D over the top. More than any other spot I think LB is where Ron is looking with the first pick.

Because the draft is random, and I won't be right regardless...

I get it, he won’t be the best getting to the inside run with shedding blocker, but he will get to the edge and outside runs and go sideline to sideline.

The big thing with him is the package stuff...nickel and dime. He will stay on the field to cover, get to the run, and pressure the QB on delayed/pressure blitz

If we get Parsons or Collins we would be insane on Defense.

I wonder how fast he is too. His 'projected' 40 time was 4.6, but he didn't run it due to a hamstring issue. I personally don't see the advantage of taking him over other LBs who are just as versatile, have a bigger frame to handle the MLB duties, and can be had in the 2nd or 3rd rounds.

If one of them is actually available, Micah Parsons or Zaven Collins would be fantastic, if they do decide to go LB with the first pick.

Re: With the 19th Pick, the WFT selects....

If Parsons falls then it goes (almost)without question that you take him, same with any of the top 10 talents...... My one thought about linebacker is that they need a MLB thumper in the run game. Is JOK an every down linebacker? Would you have him on the field on 3rd & 1? I like Collins but think that 19 is a bit early for him. Same goes for Moehrig (sp?). Fundamentally I am a believer in building the lines and a starting LT is more valuable if you can get one than a LB. Though I will admit that I have no experience of this I feel that it is easier to coach up linebackers to fit a scheme than spend high draft picks on them and coach up OTs ( see 2020 Dallas). You could justify any player being a BPA pick given the number of positions WFT could look to fill. I only really object to picking WR in the first round, any position after that I will take RR judgement.
