Definition of Time

Is it just me, or has time lost some meaning? I went to work at 10:45 a.m. today. Not for any reason, besides, I just didn't feel like going in earlier. I woke up multiple times and could have been in by 8:30 or so. I'm single (my GF and me broke up end of February, that can be either amazing or shitty timing right now). Woke up and was thinking why go in right now if I don't want to, not like I can go to Hooters and catch a game or something (I miss games) after work. No point of trying to be off by 5 p.m., I have nowhere to be. And weekends are now just binge watching T.V. Doesn't really matter what time I get off. I guess, getting off work has lost meaning. Nothing to look forward to. Work is something to do.

And yes, this is a 1st world problem, a lot of people have lost their jobs. Hopefully we find a way to support everyone that needs help right now.

That looking forward to the weekend feeling is just gone.

Re: Definition of Time

The structure we lived within is largely gone, SD you put your finger right on it. But that's exactly when you have to create your own structure so that you stay productive, feel normal, and keep going through this. It's motivational speech time: if you used to get started on work at 8:30, make yourself get your ass out of bed and start at 8:30. If you used to shower every night before bed, fucking shower every night before bed.

The only way you maintain a sense of discipline, normalcy, routine, etc. is if you create it for yourself. I recommend you do, just to keep yourself from sliding into a malaise or depression. Channel your inner Nike, Just Do It.

This is the biggest bummer for me. Last weekend I spent 8 hours creating some Excel spreadsheet automation for work because I figured what else is there to do, I might as well do something that will make work life easier going forward.

I probably shouldn't do that, I should probably find a way to create my own fun with the family.

That's not even a 1st world problem, it is a Panem (hunger games) problem!

Re: Definition of Time

A Friend sent this to me......................

Hope this brightens some of your day................................

14 Day Self-Isolation Diary

Day 1 = Have enough food and wine to last a month

Day 2 =Opening my 6th bottle of wine. I fear wine supplies

might not last!

Day 3 =I begin to notice that on strawberries, some have

210 seeds, others have 235 seeds.

Day 4 =It’s 8:00pm. I removed my day pajamas, and

put on my night pajamas.

*****I used to like Day 4, but I have to go for the mail, so I do wear a winter coat, baseball cap and hood and sweat pants over the day pajamas. At night, I just wear pj's and a jacket. Shucks, I have to put on outside shoes.

Day 5 =Today, I tried to make hand sanitizer. It came out as

Jell-O shots.

Day 6 = I get to take the garbage out. I’m sooo excited,

I can’t decide what to wear.

Day 7 =Laughing way too much at my own jokes.

Day 8 =Went to a new restaurant called “The Kitchen”.

You have to gather all the ingredients and make

your own meal. I have no clue how this place

is still in business.

Day 9 = I put liquor bottles in every room. Tonight I’m

getting all dressed up to go bar hopping!

Day 10 = Struck up a conversation with a spider today.

Seems nice. He is a web designer.

Day 11 = Isolation is hard. I swear my fridge just said,

“What the hell do you want now?”

Day 12 = I realized why dogs get so excited about something moving

outside, going for walks or car rides. I think I just barked

at a squirrel.

Day 13 = If you keep a glass of wine in each hand, you can't

accidentally touch your face.

Day 14 = Watched the birds fighting over a worm.

(Cardinals lead the Blue Jays 3 - 1)

Does anybody else feel like they’ve cooked dinner about 395 times this month?

Re: Definition of Time

The past few weeks I wasn't sleeping well, up 4-5 times during the night. This week I made it a point to work out everyday during my lunch hour. I'm just looking up workout routines on YouTube and knocking them out every day. Now I'm sleeping so much better and I just feel much better overall, more energy, more focus, better attitude.

I figured once this is all over with I didn't want to look back and think all I did with my free time was play video games and watch Netflix.

Make a positive change if you can.

Our group at work started a workout routine this week...we are keep scores with apps. its cool...but the person who put the routine together is a novice im thinking...basically we are doing leg routines everyday. If you haven't been working out and do leg routines 3 days in a row...my legs are done..im sore as fuck...lunges, squats, mountain climbers...fuck you, fuck your mothers and die.
