Are the Redskins the new Bengals?
Seems like the Bengals aura has somehow started to stink us up. Disgruntled players, bad contracts, year after year of losing.
So the question is: are we taking over as a perennial cellar dweller and becoming one of the jokes of the league? |

Re: Are the Redskins the new Bengals?
No way would I compare us to the Bengals. We put up a great fight in every game we play. Against Pittsburgh and Philly last year we put up a heck of a fight and I think we'll be even better this year. I'd fight for my Skins even if we were as bad as the Bengals though so I'm definitely biased!!! If Ramsey has a decent year we'll make the playoffs.

Re: Are the Redskins the new Bengals?
The Bengals have gone 8-8 the last two years, so no we're not even at their level yet, LOL.

Bengals Redskins
2004 8-8 6-10 2003 8-8 5-11 2002 2-14 7-9 2001 6-10 8-8 24 wins 26 wins I'm not saying we have sunk this far but the records are pretty even over the last four seasons. There is a reason we've picked ahead of them the last two years in the draft. |

On the 24th of Nov 77% of those pollled here said the skins were going to make the playoffs. Maybe it's time to take off the burgundy colored glasses and look to see if their is a mindset of failure within this organization. I'm still in the camp that believes that Joe can turn it around but right now it seems as if this team is going to be a cyclical loser until we jetison the guys he believes aren't right for this team. He knows better than any of us who they are and hopefully ol' Danny-boy won't step in the way. But to think that year after year we are on the cusp of greatness is just silliness. Our Defense rocks but our offense is more than just a step from greatness. If Joe thinks we can get rid of Gardner and even Coles then fine, it wasn't as if we lost the NFC Championship game with them |

All I know is that we suck! It doesn't really matter to me if they suck.

Re: Are the Redskins the new Bengals?
We should have just hired Marvin, the year before we should have kept Marty, two years before we should have kept Charlie Casserly.
Dan Snyder can go eff himself. All of our problems are due to his headlines. Seriously, all this player turmoil we are having right now, and the potential cap hell we are heading to at NHRA-like speeds, all Dan Snyder fault. And if anyone wants to back up Dan, I just want to remind you of Deion Sanders. The most disgusting Cowboy of his time and DS couldn’t wait to get him to DC, so he could sell millions of #21 jerseys. :vomit-smi Last edited by drew54; 02-23-2005 at 09:15 PM. It may not be new news to most members but is new to me. Peirce needs to be resigned. Williamson goes #9 overall. Skins draft 2 WR's in this years draft and they go 10-6. |

Re: Are the Redskins the new Bengals?
I guess they're looking at Rolle to replace Smoot. I wonder how that helps/hurts the cap situation?

Re: Are the Redskins the new Bengals?
I dont want Rolle due to his charechter issues. You know Drugs and Alchol and things like that are one thing. And I can look past that being a user of many alchol substances, and knowing alot of people who use drugs(zackmills) and stuff. However, anyone who hits their wife, for whatever reason other than serious self defense, has already lost my respect. I hope we dont bring in that guy.
