It's amazing how a college team (forget that its a major college team) can't figure out pass protection. 5 guys blocking 4 guys. Figure it out, its not that hard. If the 5 guys you have in there can't figure out how to get at least one body on 4 rushers, find some guys who can. Clausen holds the ball too damn long, but hes a Freshman. He looked better than Mallet today in the first half, and I think he'll have the better career of the two for sure. If nothing else, I think this pretty much debunks the "Notre Dame has a soft schedule argument." As a fan, I really hated having to listen to that one. Anyway, if they can't beat Michigan State next week, this team will start 0-8. |

Re: No Fight in the Irish
the country obviously needs to open 4 more service academies, since that seems to be the only time ND looks like a real football team.

Re: No Fight in the Irish
The Loser Irish are 0-3 !!! I love it!
Time for them to schedule the Sisters of the Poor and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. What about The Salvation Army? They have a football team, right? It doesn't really matter though, the Loser Irish could go 0-12 and still get a bowl bid. |

Re: No Fight in the Irish
Its SOOOOOOOO bad how the Irish are playing. I will admit, they havent been THAT good in the last few years but I'll be DAMNED! They were never this bad. The Irish will win 5 games this year, at max. Oh, and I agree with djnemo65, if the Va-Giants dont do well this year, Charlie Weiss I would guess is probably on speed dial.
