Re: NFL Network and Time Warner reach deal

That's good news! I just discovered that I can pick up the Fox and CBS stations that carries Redskins games at my house in North Carolina, so that means eventually I can ditch DirecTV and go with TW since they'll have the NFL Network on the basic digital tier. Maybe I'll save a bit of money doing it like that since I'll have internet through TW.

I want to know when Directv is gonna get Redzone. I have the Sunday Ticket package but they told us if we wanted Redzone we'd have to pay more. I'd rather just have redzone than the whole package.

Yeah, it's a little annoying not to have the Red Zone on the basic Ticket package. The difference in price between packages is just too much for the Red Zone alone, since I'm not going to be streaming to my tablet or anything like that.

Redzone is another $100 a month. I think that's crazy paying $100 for one channel - even though I LOVE watching the Redzone. I got lucky and was able to get NFL Sunday Ticket, plus Redzone, free because I'm moving, but since I have discovered that I can reach the VA Fox and CBS stations with an over the air anntena, then I won't need NFL Sunday Ticket next year unless I can't figure out a way to DVR the games when I'm not home.
