What is a SN.

I was looking at the VT football roster today and there was a position listed there that I had never seen before. It was SN. What in the world is an SN? I have heard of SE, ROV, and all of the others, but never a SN. I did notice that on another site that it had the (SN) players listed as other positions. One was a Long snapper, one was a defensive end. But those positions atrent even on the same side of the ball. You are going to need more than google to answer this. What in the world does the acronym SN mean?

Re: What is a SN.

After cross referencing several rosters SN stands for snapper. Most of us are familiar with LS for longsnapper, but whatever. I cannot believe that they actually designate a roster spot for a special teams job outside of Punter and Kicker. A gunner still has a WR, SE, DB, CB, ROV, or S designation on the roster. A personal protector is still a LB or FB when it comes down to it. Why not just list a LS as the position he would play on the field instead of his special teams duty? Rant over.

Re: What is a SN.

Nothing like a good piece of snapper! Sorry, had to do it.

After googling 2 of the other SNs on the roster, it looks like SN means (Long) Snapper...
