Re: Will the Yankees catch the Red Sox???
This is so funny because there's a heated rivalry here in my office. This one guy printed out large 2.5 signs and taped them all over the outside of his office to piss off the Sox fan.
I think the Yanks will catch up! |

Re: Will the Yankees catch the Red Sox???
I sure hope so! As an Angels fan I want Boston and Cleveland to lose so we can get the best record in the A.L we need the home field throughout the playoffs. Go Halos!!!!!

Re: Will the Yankees catch the Red Sox???
I believe they will and I hope so.
I hate the Red Sox and even though I'm not a Yankees fan (like my wife), I have to root for them over Boston. The Red Sox are my baseball version of the Cowboys. If we're really lucky, the Red Sox will really stumble and lose the Wild Card to the Tigers (5 behind the Yanks for the WC, 7.5 total behind the Red Sox), but that's not likely. Boston's "magic number" is 9 more wins. They've lost 3 straight and are 4-6 in their last 10 games, New York has won 3 straight and are 8-2. |

Re: Will the Yankees catch the Red Sox???
It's killing one of my coworkers here. He's a huge, HUGE, Red Sox fan. Ironically, he was the one responsible for overseeing Bronx is Burning. That must have been his personal hell to deal with the Yankees everyday for over a year.
Anyhow, as long as the Sox keep sending Gagne out there, they're screwed.

Angels are a 1/2 game up now tied with Cleveland. Bring on Seattle this could be a good weekend.

The homeless guy named Manny has been out for 24 games and won't see the field until the playoffs, if then. Youkilis hasn't played for a week. Wakefield blew up last time out, Schilling hasn't won for a month, their bullpen isn't dominant like it was most of the year, Gagne was a disaster pickup, plus they have to play the A's who have been them 4/6 times this year and then the Twins while the Yankees will face the Devil Rays and Orioles, two of baseball's worst teams. 2 game deficit...the Yanks have the upper hand I'd say. |

Re: Will the Yankees catch the Red Sox???
^ I agree Buster but, the weird thing about the Sox is they usually play to the level of their opponent. so they may step up this week. I would hate to see them lose the AL East pennant.
