Question Who to start this week?

Got a couple questions on who to start in Week 4.

Kevan Barlow vs. indy or Deuce Mcallister vs. Carolina

Kurt Warner vs. Atlanta or Rex Grossman vs. Seattle

Saints d vs. Carolina or Vikings d vs. Buffalo

Lawrence Tynes vs. San fran or Joe Nedney vs. Kansas City

thanks for the help.

Re: Who to start this week?

viking for sure. they rest are all bad matchups. deuce is the better player, so i'd take him. even though warner has better weapons, the seattle D will go into prevent after going up, so grossman will have chances to inflate stats (and the lack of a seattle ground game means he'll have decent TOP to work with).

for kickers, i'd go with nedney, since he's more likely to score and the 49ers offense has been more consistant (go figure).

deuce
grossman
vikings
nedney

Re: Who to start this week?

*DEFINATELY McAllister over Barlow.

*Grossman over Warner, Kurt may be benched mid-game (for good) if he continues his craptastic play.

*I'd have to say the Vikings D against the Bills are the safer choice, Carolina has Steve Smith back so they should be better offensively and Losman can't keep up his play can he?

*Kicker, I'd say Nedney. Tynes is struggling and KC can't move the ball very well right now. After Tynes' bye week, I hope you drop him. Carrying 2 kickers to prepare for a bye is fine but after that, one should be dropped for a offensive position player.

Good luck!

Have you all seen Indy's run defense? It does not even exist. Deuce is the far better player but plays a decent run D and Barlow plays basically nobody. This is the only time I start Barlow over Deuce.

Re: Who to start this week?

definitely McAllister. He and Bush have nicely been splitting touches in the backfield, and will give you points. The Jets will be airing it out by the 2nd quarter, and Barlow is splitting touches moreso than the Saints backs.

Grossman for sure. Warner's got fumblitis again, and it will continue. If you can, dump Warner pronto.

The Saints have one of the better defenses in the league right now. But Carolina's due for a big game. That's a toss up. The Vikes are a safer bet, but higher risk equals higher reward.

Kicker wise it's a tossup. You'll get a few points from either.

Do it, this pick is money. You will like it when it's over.

Re: Who to start this week?

I told you all Barlow didn't I? We are gonna have like 600 yards rushing against them if we are healthy.

that's a fairly weak I told you so, since duece got his points and barlow's role isn't very well defined (sharing carries 3 ways without any huge advantage in talent). I think his chances of getting 2 TDs in a game are very low, but he hit it this week, and you were right. If they replayed these games ten times though, I still believe duece would be the better pick.

my bad on nedney though. damn, i didn't see that coming.
