Fantasy Baseball?
Anyone interested in a simple 5x5 league, either head to head or roto (or both, as I'm willing to do both)? Let me know, and I'll set it up through Yahoo!
Hitting Stats: AVG, R, HR, RBI, SB Pitching Stats: W, S, K, ERA, WHIP

Re: Fantasy Baseball?
I played last year but was disappointed that we only had like 5 guys play. I'll still play this year, though. Let me know if you definitely want couple of other guys I know to play as well or if you want to keep it Warpath only.

Re: Fantasy Baseball?
I've never played fantasy baseball but I'd be willing to try, how much time do you need to put into it? Do you need to change your lineup every day?

Re: Fantasy Baseball?
I'm down for fantasy baseball except I dont have the time commitment (Unless its after 9pm) to draft my own teams.

Re: Fantasy Baseball?
As far as commitment, you have the option to change your lineup daily, but you can plan out about 5 or so days in advance (or as far out as Yahoo! projects your starting pitchers) and be squared away.
Any and all are welcome. I can reactivate the league from last year and go from there, being sure to change what needs to be changed.

Re: Fantasy Baseball?
I'll definitely think about it, is there a live draft?

Re: Fantasy Baseball?
Currently set for a live draft, but if we can't get enough people to do it, I'll set it to Autopick.

Re: Fantasy Baseball?
You can keep it as Live and just let those of us who can't make it (I'm not sure yet) pre-rank our players. The Autodraft uses the Yahoo pre-rankings anyways, so it wouldn't hurt anyone if they can't change them or make the draft, but most of us could rank the players the way we want to or show up.
I'd prefer NOT to use Yahoo's rankings, which are usually pretty messed us, plus injured players would still be drafted if we all use Yahoo rankings...like Brad Lidge who hurt his knee this weekend. |

Re: Fantasy Baseball?
Bump. There are currently 4 of us, and we'd like more...
If the draft time is an issue, it can be changed. The season starts the week of March 24th, so as long as we're set before then, I don't care when the draft is. And if you haven't played before, it's not too hard. Think of it as Fantasy Football, but you have 162 games to worry about instead of 16, and you can go a day or 2 without a full lineup and still compete. Here are the details again: http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo....ter/joinleague (Join Custom) League's set up (League ID: 111647, Password: skins) 12 teams for now (Can add if need be) Online draft is currently set for Tuesday March 4th at 9pm.

Re: Fantasy Baseball?
Does anyone have a website that they get their player information from. I used to use Baseball Tangent and won my league the first year and got third the second year I played. Since then I have been terrible and it is due to not having a good cheat sheet.

Re: Fantasy Baseball?
Yahoo! actually has decent Fantasy information...
This look like a decent place to get info: Fantasy Baseball Player Rankings & Cheat Sheets - Fantasy Baseball Hub 2008 I usually buy a Sporting News or Street & Smith type magazine, and use the web to fine tune picks.
