Marriage made in heaven?
Who in your eyes is the perfect fit for the skins going into 2010 season. I feel that it's a four piece puzzle to a championship team. 1 the owner, 2 the GM, 3 the coach, 4 the QB.
We already have 2 pieces of the puzzle, possibly 3: Snyder, and Allen. What do you guy think of a Shannahan-Allen mix? Gruden- Allen, Allen-Grimm, Zorn- Allen? What is the best 4 realistic pieces of this puzzle that you would like to see in Washington.

Re: Marriage made in heaven?
1 of Allen's problems in tampa was because the Bucs owner wouldn't open his pocket the way he needed to.
Allen won't have that problem here. I mean The Bucs Owner is why Garcia had to walk....and look at what happened to them at the QB situation. If Gruden gets here, he could bring in Jeff Garcia as a backup...and thats a good thing

Re: Marriage made in heaven?
I actually like either a Allen-Shannahan marriage, or a Allen-Grimm hook up. The biggest issue with Shanny is that people didn't want him being a GM, now that job is out of his hands he can focus on the field. Allen can pick a guy like Grimm, who also has redskins ties and hopefully make him a star coach.

Re: Marriage made in heaven?
Can anyone chime in of the differences between Shannahan vs. Gruden vs. Zorn west coast offenses?
Like everyone else i am happy to see the gelling of the offense over the last few weeks, primarily since the arrival of Lewis. I would like to see more of the same in regards to that; however, i dont think Zorn is a very good HC. So I would have to lead towards Gurden since ive heard they have similar west coast versions and Gruden has experience with Lewis from their GB days. But I like the coaching style of Shannahan more. So if Shannahan’s offense is as close or closer to the west coast version Gurden runs I would rather have him. But again, I think it would be great if someone could lay out the basic difference between the 3 styles (if any significant). For QB, I am for bringing back JC all day long, and address the Oline issues before even considering anther QB either though the draft or FA. Fix the oline then next year decide if you really need a QB. This is my biggest concern about Gruden. He has a hard on for quarterbacks that cant be ignored. I am afraid that he would want to make a immediate change at QB before addressing why QB’s haven’t seceded here in the last 15+ years. He might even carry 4-5 qb’s on the roster.

Jason La Canfora is saying that we may hire Eric DeCosta (Baltimore), Bobby DePaul (Chicago) or Doug Williams (Tampa Bay) to the front office staff... Giggidy, giggidy, giggidy if we get DeCosta I will have a major joy-gassim NFL.com Blogs Jason La Canfora «

Re: Marriage made in heaven?
^^^ Judging from most of the press, one thing this move may do is get the Redskins out of the apparent doghouse they have been in. That sure would be nice.

Re: Marriage made in heaven?
Well SFREDSKIN, how little did we know that while we were having our little exchange yesterday our wish was about to come to fruition. The FO has a pipeline to the warpath. Can you really believe VC is gone? It's obvious his moving on has been in the making for a while.
