Move to our own dedicated server is complete!
To hopefully eliminate the 'server busy' message forever, we're in the process of moving to our very own dedicated server.
To help offset the cost of this move, we're passing the hat around the board. To place a donation please use this LINK. To everyone who donates $25 or more, you'll be eligible for a prize giveaway of a Redskins replica jersey from our Warpath Store. You'll also have your forum membership status upgraded to VIP status, if you're not already a VIP member. Please make sure you include your board username when you send a paypal payment so I can keep track of who's eligible for the giveaway and so I can upgrade you to VIP. Thanks guys |

Re: Moving to new server!
Matty, Paypal sent. Glad to hear about this, as I wasn't able to get on the site for more than 2 minutes at a time yesterday...

Re: Moving to new server!
I tried to donate, not sure if it went through or not, there was no confirmation screen. Just a click here to review and continue button so I clicked it twice. I either did not help out or I did so twice. LOL. Let me know if it did not actually work...

Re: Moving to new server!
I have asked you this before Matty, but I forgot. The warpath will get 25 yearly from my account if I am VIP, correct?

Re: Moving to new server!
I got the same behavior when I tried to donate. I'm not sure if the transaction was processed.

Re: Moving to new server!
You can always just go to your paypal account and send the donation to [email protected]
If you can't send by paypal but would still like to donate, please PM me. If you are already a VIP your subscription will renew automatically each year. |

Re: Moving to new server!
Ok the move is underway, we may experience some brief downtime but I've been told it should be a pretty seamless transition.

Re: Moving to new server!
The move is complete. I'm going to monitor things over the next few days to see how things go, and I'm going to really open things up on the board by reducing the amount of time between posts, searches, etc. I'm hoping the days of the 'server busy' message are long gone. We are now on our very own server sharing resources with no one!

Re: Move to our own dedicated server is complete!
The member list is back!
I'm going through and adding back a bunch of little features here and there that previously I had to restrict to save every ounce of server resources that we could. I feel like we're all grown up now! If anyone cares to see how the site has progressed over the years, check it out. Back in the day I never thought the site would grow to where it has, and to the point where the cost of the server is enough for a down payment on a new car! It's all worth it though, thanks to everyone who helped pitch in. I'll get the jersey giveaway going real soon. Thanks again |

Yeah those days really should be gone for good. I've monitored the server resources closely all day and we're barely a blip on the radar as far as what the server is capable of handling. |
