Hurricane Florence

Damn...Tis the season.

I have like 22 trees surrounding my house...always makes me nervous. But the folks in Carolinas bout to get jacked up, stay safe folks.

Hurricanes are the M-Fers of natural disasters because you can clearly see it coming for weeks...just getting bigger and stronger...and you really cant do shit about it.

All the kids, son-inlaw and grandkids and all the dogs too will all be here at sometime tonight .All live in NC. The ones from Camp Lejeune were told to evacuate, the whole county was. The other lives just outside of Fayetteville and their expecting 19-24 inches of rain. I spent $200 dollars at Giant and that should cover tomorrow and breakfast on Thursday.

Re: Hurricane Florence

I live in Greensboro. Guilford County has declared a state of emergency. There's no gas around here, no bread, no bottled water, etc...

With the possible shift of the storm to the south, we may wind up not getting as much rain as expected, but would still have some strong winds, which means a chance for power outages. Right now, the forecast changes every few hours, so I don't know what to expect.

One daughter lives in Craven county and they had a mandatory evacuation of the whole county. Did you at least get to the store before all of this ? If I can , why did you stay?

My sister and several of my friends live in NC. As of now I'm not worried about the storm hitting NoVa, but I'm hoping for the best for everyone south. Tired of these natural disasters shitting on everyone's lives every year.

Re: Hurricane Florence

Don’t worry only 6 people died in Puerto Rico. Dems made up numbers to make Trump look bad, and we are totally prepared for the most successful natural disaster in history. 🤪🤬

I would ask for a refund. Even by a miracle you can even get there there will be no food water or fuel ...no power.

Looks like both my girls might lose their homes with this storm. Brigadier General at Camp Lejeune is in trouble for not evacuating the base. If any of you have ever been there it is at Sea level and yes the
barricks can withstand the storm but the Base Housing can not,the entire camp is surrounded by ponds, lakes and tributaries of the Ocean and the in land water way. God forbid someone pass's away under this idiot's Command.

Re: Hurricane Florence

The one who lives in Jacksonville(Onslow county) went back to NC yesterday a 6 hour trip took 7 1/2 but they made it back and have power. All things considering the house did well ,no major water but some roof shingles and the deck are screwed up . There is some water damage from the roof but not to bad. They all so own a home in New Bern(a rental) that one was hit hard and they are waiting for a report from the management company.

The other lives in Hope Mills just outside of Fayetteville ,I-95 finally open down to her exit but she then gets on Rt 87 and that is still flooded and will be till at least Monday from what they are saying . She is being told her house looks ok but still not sure.
