Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
If Dan Snyder sells the team this off-season, the 2022 season will go down as the 4th best season in franchise history.
We need a real GM too. Get Rivera's bum ass out of that spot. He can't even get the LB room right. Sell the team and hire a GM (who could then fire Rivera if he chooses to do so). That would be a great off-season.

Has anybody heard anything about initial bids? I heard north of 7 billion but that is all.

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
As long as the team sells, that is all that matters for the 2023 season. We can suffer through another season of Ron and his staff with Jimmy G at QB, and then Taylor again starting when Jimmy G gets hurt and it will be another rinse and repeat like the last 2 seasons...BUT after that, hopefully better days on the horizon. And personally, IF we're lucky enough to get a new owner, please rebrand this team and wash the stink off Snyder and his dumbass branding off of it PLEASE!!!!

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
List of things that need to happen
A. Fire the staff (won’t happen so we are doomed) B. Find a QB if Howell isn’t the guy. DO NOT get Carr C. Draft OL OL OL. D. Find a way to pay Payne These are the top 4 major issues that need to be addressed. The roster isn’t bad , young playmakers on offense and a damn good D Line with some solid players in the secondary. Jamin Davis has been better as well. The issue is and has been we have no QB. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
1. Sell the team
2. Let the new owner bring in his people and let them make the decisions of who comes and goes. Have a feeling this might not happen soon enough and Ron becomes a lame duck 3. Draft a QB with one of the first two picks, make a back up offer to Henike, cut Wentz 4. Focus on an Oline rebuild. Turner, Charles and Schweitzer should be gone. Look to the draft for multi picks and free agency for investments. 5. Make offer to Payne and then franchise him. Call teams to see if interest. 6. Linebacker and Cornerback focus on defense. You need a starter at LB, get one in FA. Corner…bring back Danny Johnson and spend a pick in Draft.

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
Who would buy this team for 7 billion? It's just not the franchise it once was. Just seems like a massive pile of stress w/ a pissed off miserable fan base.
If I had that kind of wealth I would not want to deal w/ it. |

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
If you build it, they will come. I think you can wash the Snyder stench off pretty quickly if it's actually a good owner that takes over.

I like the mascot myself. Well by mascot standards at least. I think if you're not using a live animal, all mascots are stupid in general. But if you're gonna have one, make it ridiculous.
If we're ever good, that's gonna be a great name. Howell goes deep to McLaurin for a 75 yard TD: That play just gave me a Major Tuddy.

While I too probably wouldn't buy a team for 7 billion and if I did I would like to implement what the Bundesliga does in Germany which is ticket holders constitute a 51% share of business decisions regardless of who owns the team, similar to but not the same as Green Bay. Fans should always be first IMO.

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
Sad as hell showing yesterday - like B Mitch described it - trash. I feel sorry for the players that put the work in every day to try to get this team in the win column every week. They deserve better.
I guess I give up. I've been a Ron defender for the most part, but I can't do it anymore. DS is a jackass, but the state of this team right now is 50% on the HC, and 50% on the GM. Ron just happens to be both. Honestly I hope they are all gone by summer. I doubt that will happen with the alleged sale, but that is my hope - Snyders, Jason Wright, Marty and Martin, RR, ST, Del Rio, CW and TH, most of the O-line, majority of LBs... It's time to take out the trash. |

Got rid of Kyle Smith and brought Hurney and Mayhew Got rid of Kevin O' Connell and brought in Turner as OC Let Scherff, Settle and Ioannidis walk Gave up 2 3rd's for a washedup CW Didn't address holes in the OL, LB and CB positions Started CW instead of TH in a must have game thinking part 2 would be different

The Giants changed an entire organization in one season.
