Overall, as long as we aren't left scratching our head with the players chosen(j davis), i trust how they will go about achieving it. Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk |

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
For those against giving up next years rd1, I get it, but consider the scenario that without a top LT our QB pick this year gets sacked, harassed etc. to the point he looks like Howell did 2nd half of the season. Then we don't know if he's a bust, shell-shocked or just in need of a good LT. Or we do OK, say even 8-9, and come up middle of the pack. We still need a good/great LT but there's no prospect where we pick in '25, so we go BPA and still need an LT.
The draft is always a risk, but I'd rather gamble next years pick on a guy everyone covets this year, than wait and hope things work out next year. Besides, Peters knows that while he has rope to play with, he can't hang around too long without results. He wants a winning team inside 2-3 years to cement his job, and he won't get that by waiting and hoping. |

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
If by giving up next year's first, which could be utilized on a legit CB1 for example, netted a guy like Joe Alt I can see the argument. But they won't get that high without sacrificing multiple picks and I don't want to do that in such a deep draft. And with such a deep OT class I just have to believe they can get a quality starting LT without sacrificing next year's first.

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
Depends on the price to move up to say 13th or 14th Pick (Raiders/Saints)? Number of mocks predicting Latham, Fashanu, Fuaga there still. Would it take a 1st to tempt either of these to give up their pick or a parcel of 2's and 3's?

edit: not sure how the value of those picks all add up but I would manipulate it around with something like that structure Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk |

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
Peters and co are turning this thing into a clown show, having all the QB's going to Top Golf and hanging out w/ one another. Talk about dragging something out. Can't wait for this nonsense to be over with.

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
I see nothing wrong with the team hosting those QBs for a fun day. His agent spoke up about the way they are doing things and is getting absolutely toasted all over the internet for it.

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
They better not trade next year's first. There's an extremely real chance that they're going to stink this year.

I hope it wasn't because Josh was only available on that day as Florio suggested. |

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
Belichick said they used to do the same thing with bringing in groups of players. 49ers did it when AP was there.
Non story. |
