Nothing the Skins have done this year is as bad as what the Terps did. Blow a 41-14 lead in the 4th quarter. What a shameful season

Yeah my future BIL is an NC State alum and as soon as I got back I heard all about it. Good for them. But VT is virtually assured a meeting in the ACC Championship game with Clemson thanks to the beatdown they're laying on Virginia right now.

But you know what, it still won't ever compare to this. The greatest football highlight ever, and with hilarious commentary to boot.

LSU and Bama looked so dominant...looks like the championship game is set. Last time they played Bama was clearly the better team except for thier horrendous kicking game.

Scud what you thing bout Urban going to OSU? My feelings is hey he's a man and a great coach he can do anything he wants. But in the back of my mind I just dont like how he left Florida, health issues, more time with family and less than 2 years later at another program? Doesnt sit right with me. Dunno, glad he's back in ball...but I really hate OSU.

Yeah, what a crock of shit that whole family thing was. He probably got tired of doing nothing and was itching to get back to coaching.

Re: Official 2011 College Football Thread

I didnt watch the game, but im shocked VT beat UVA like they did. Im a Tech fan but i still dont think they should be ranked as high as they are, even after laying that beat down to UVA. I mean would they be favored to beat any team in the the top 10, or even the top 15?

I absolutely love what Urban Meyer did for our football program for the 6 years he was in Gainesville. 2 National Titles, 2 SEC Championships, a Heisman, Tim Tebow, BCS bowl games galore, top recruiting classes, a brand new state of the art facility... the list goes on. He was amazing for the University of Florida.

But he quit. Flat out. He said health, family, blah blah. I think the main reason is he realized that with Tebow and two titles in a 3 year span, he could never hit that ceiling again. He set the bar so high.

He said he needed to get away to be with family and take care of himself. He said he was going to take some "significant time" away from coaching. So right after he leaves Florida, he takes a job in Bristol, CT, 1000 miles away from his family. And then a year later he's right back in the coaching game?

This whole thing has soured me on Urban Meyer for sure. But Ohio State is going to own the Big 10 for as long as he's there.
