He wouldn’t be the head guy and would have some oversight.
Chip is a better option than EB.

I’m curious about this. I’d rather have Chip than kubiak.
Quinn and Kelly might complement each other if Quinn can control Kelly.

We would have an aggressive team across the board.
Chip over EB all day and it’s not close

No name calling that I heard, but Rik man you are jumping off bridges and we have literally just gotten rid of Snyder, hired a respected GM, and interviewed every top candidate out there for HC. If our top choices (i said if) chose not to come here what the hell was Peters supposed to do? You are acting like he bought Zorn back and traded all nine of our draft choices for Ricky Williams. I mean take a deep breath and realize
Snyder is gone
Respected GM in place
9 picks - 6 in the top 100
Boatload of cap space

I hear you. I should have said “plan A”.

Im absolutely amped for the future. Quinn may or may not be part of it long term but I am much more concerned about roster construction and personnel and I believe with our arsenal of picks and cap money that Peters will instantly make us more competitive.

Ok .. so you would be cool with that trick no huddle 2 minute offense the whole game ? that is what I remember about Kelly in Philly .. that and getting axed after one year at San Fran going 2-14
I just remember the players revolting against him and that crazy play calling .. there are lots of articles about him on the net ( not many outside his Oregon duck days are positive)
The day started with Quinn hire then another cowboy hire as DC now the talk of Kelly running the Offense . I Actually liked Quinn hiring a DC so he can focus 100% as head coach ( that makes me a little more on board with the hire)

Yea I would like to bring in an innovative OC with a balanced attack but I don't see Kelly doing that .. maybe you got more insight on this .

Ok Reset .. The Quinn hire I can live with especially now that he has hired a DC .. that makes more sense.. I think Quinn has leadership qualities that few have .. But with the QB position the most critical of all we have to get the Offense right and that means BALANCED attack .. About the time I'm processing all this I start hearing Chip Kelly ?? PLEASE enlighten me about how this is going to work if he comes on board ( I researched his coaching career and style and it's all over the map ) I'm glad you guys are on board with all these decisions however I'm just slow at understanding what they are doing ..

It is amazing what better talent can do for Coordinators and coaches as well as the other way around . Thank God nobody named Cerrato or Rivera or Snyder has their say in this draft/ FA period for once.

I don’t really know if I am on board with the hires and will not know until I see the results. What I do know is that there is finally someone I trust in charge of personnel decisions and we happen to have a slew of good picks and a lot of cap space. Oh and Snyder is completely out of the equation. I can guarantee you that this upcoming team will be better constructed than the current one. I have waited 25 years for this nightmare to be over. I can wait 1-3 more until Peters and co have a fair chance to craft a new team.
Quinn and possibly Kelly may or may not be part of that team in three years, but if they are not there will be better coaches in place. The days of us being stuck in first gear with an owner nobody wants to come near and piss poor roster moves and stupid contracts are over.

You guys gotta stop using Twitter as your sources. That's seriously terrible.

Chip Kelly would be an absolute terrible hire. I just don't see a defense first coach wanting that kind of offense- that doesn't control the clock and puts the defense back on the field quickly. It makes zero sense.

I don’t think Chip still runs the two minute offense constantly. He has definitely evolved his game.

Those worried about Chip Kelly are worried about the wrong things. We should be worried about:
A. At his age is he allowed to drive at night?
B. If we have a late game how will he get to the early bird at sizzler?

I don’t want to pay an OC for only the early games

That's funny but he is only 60. Not sure age is a concern.

Do we need him to take a cognitive test as part of the interview process?

"Chip, please identify these 5 things"

"Football, sideline, camera, gatorade, helmet"

"Very nice, you're hired!"

Quinn’s record, including the playoffs, with Shanahan as his offensive coordinator: 21-14. Quinn’s record, including the playoffs, without Shanahan calling plays and designing schemes: 25-30. Quinn's success is totally dependent on his OC choice.

Not saying I want Chip, but if it’s between Chip and EB it’s an easy choice given both of their track records. EB has called plays for one very mediocre year. In 2013-2014 Chip had top 5 offenses in yards and top 10 in points.
