Yeah Kirk is too thoughtful to let bruised egos get in the way. He wants money, and he wants to play with a stronger team (especially with a better defense). Maybe one more than the other, we'll find out which is more important to him in a few weeks. But it was clear he wasn't getting $30M from us, and it was clear he wasn't going to have a great defense as quickly here as he could if he went somewhere else.

Well it's debatable who the better college player was cause the Big 12 plays better defense. But it was really Dan and Bruce that caused all the friction. They were starstruck groupies instead of being professional like Cooke was. Cousins deserves blame too. If he had no intention of being here then he should have just said so. Instead he took the money and waited it out. Perhaps the Redskins should have been smarter and drafted someone last year.
