Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Well I for one think that in a different situation they could be substantially better then they’ve been, but I know they may not be. But at the same time, a draft pick is a crap shoot too so I don’t see a real difference in the approach.

Well I think they did that because there was literally no other QB on the roster who could physically play.

Of these two guys, I prefer Darnold. He's only had Adam Gase coaching in the NFL, which may be why his talent has been wasted. So a bounce back is more likely with him, than with Mariota, who has been around a while. Now ... for the right price, I'd be ok with either of them, really. Although Darnold wins here again between these two, given he is still on his rookie contract. Get one of these guys, draft a QB in the middle rounds, and let them all compete to see who makes up the QB room next fall. I like Heinicke a lot .. I've never been sold on Kyle Allen, which may not be fair. He was doing ok before he got Theismanned. Maybe he blossoms into something. But the competition would be great to have, especially in a year where we should get a better off season to actually see who can win the jobs. |

I agree I would take Darnold over MM. Sam has shown flashes of potential and he is more accurate than MM

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Listening to the Alumni clip on the WFT name search site sure makes it sound like they are gonna keep washington football team. Such a stupid thing if they do. Doug Williams particularly doing his best suck up to the name, probably why he was kept around...

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
This might be most likely scenario, assuming you're talking about keeping Allen and Heinicke and adding a FA vet and a rookie draft pick without trading up for a 1st Round QB. I wouldn't mind this approach at all in this stage of our team build.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Doc walker likes the name .. Burgundy & Gold , The best College team for a while goes by the name Crimson tide , uses a elephant for mascot.. plain helmet with number .. The BRAND is what the team makes it .. you lose and people say it sucks .. you Win and the name becomes part of it I personally do not want another generic name to replace what we had .. red tails, red wolves , all those names are just that .. Washington Football is what I like .. no need to say team .. they Could be also referred to as Burgundy & Gold .

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Doesn’t matter to me. I stocked up on Redskins gear and they will always be the Redskins to me. I knew several Native Americans who are fans of the team because of the Redskins name and logo and I promised them I would always wear Redskins gear and I intend to do so.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
I think they’ll keep it Washington FT as well, everything is branded already so I don’t see a big change coming
