Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
MM does 0 for me. Ziltch. Nada. But I would take him over Alex at this point in their careers. We already know what he is. Lower tier starter. Doesn't come off as a leader to me. He is a JAG w/ really good mobility. Doesn't even have a 4,000 season.

Ok so MM is off the table is your opinion; you stayed in your post like something had happen with him. He is still on the table just not your table.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
I’d bring in any QB we can find. Maybe someone blossoms in a new setting. I figure the more (reasonable) chances we take, we have to hit one someone. Who is due more than us?

Draft and develop. We should draft a QB every year.

That’s how we ended up with Schroeder, Rypien and Frerotte. Can’t hurt.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
I'm sure they are still interested, just not for the compensation LV wants. Their price will likely come down as we inch closer to free agency.

5th round pick will do it, just like I said all along.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Washington Football Team
Projected 2021 starter: Ryan Fitzpatrick Washington is in the same category as the Patriots: in need of a quarterback addition but too far down the draft order to count on that as the avenue to address it. Fitzy is about as well-traveled as any other player in the league over the past 15 years, but he continues to play at a strong enough level to merit starting consideration. It's often a roller coaster with him under center, but he has an infectious energy that cannot be discounted. We saw it last year in Miami when he helped the team in a few gotta-have-it situations. Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
I have said before I'm not averse to Fitzmagic, though I wouldn't go hell for leather after him. He's likely to be in demand as a bridge QB for anyone picking up a rookie in the draft. Probably with the exception of the Jags and Panthers. If we are going the route of trying to find a diamond in round 2 or 3, then I'd consider him a better 1 year option than any other FA, and probably Mariota.
Question; say for example our QB room was Mariota, Allen and Heinicke going into the draft (whether we traded for MM or not), would you be OK if we didn't come away with a rookie QB if we couldn't see a good enough guy when we pick? |

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
I meant with any of our picks, but yeah, particularly #19. For me they have to go into the draft with the BPA/best fills a need with every pick, even if it means no QB. I agree in principle with the idea of drafting a QB every year, but only if there's a guy you truly believe has at least backup potential.
