Boy -- the stud QBs of the AFC have not been great in week 1 -- Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Joe Borrow didn't play well this week. And over-hyped Pickett too. Give Tua props -- he lit it up, though.

Aaron Rodgers who?

Also, the Bills are done for. The still haven't recovered from that Chiefs game where they lost it in 30 seconds.

Window is shut.

Not sure about that, but it will be so if they can't fix their run D and fast. Pretty poor outing all around. Hard to win with all the TOs and sacks, and then a special teams TD. Sheesh.

I give Mahomes a pass because his WRs let him down.

But yeah Lamar looked rusty and terrible even though they won, Josh Allen just laid a turd on Monday Night, and Joe Burrow was just right down awful.

Think about it. They will finish last in that division. Pats/Phins and apparently the Jets are better than they are.

Zach Wilson is terrible, unless he got his head out of his ass this offseason, I find it difficult to see him having sustained success.

Dolphins look good and played very well against a good Chargers team. Of course they will go as far as Tua's health will take them, but right now they are the best team in that division.

UPDATE: Looks like Rodgers has an Achilles tear and is done for the season. Dude needs to retire.

Re: Around the League Week 1

Lol this shit is so fixed 🤣🤣🤣

Right down to Allen coming back throwing lasers to the actually open wide outs for that drive. The fg is the chance you take its either plan a) punt return td in OT or plan b) it doesn't go to OT.

Still the worst shit I've ever seen and I don't care what anyone says, the fix is in lmao ahhhhh bet the bills the next 6 of 6 games.

Lamar looked liked Lamar. This has always been his MO. He'll have 3-4 games with below QB play, and then blow up with a insane game. He's QB ratings will look like.

GM1- 78.7
GM2- 87.7
GM3 - 82.3
GM4 - 115.7 (500 yards/4 TDs)
(rinse/repeat)

Look at this shit from just last year. Only 4 games out of 12 that were over 95 QBR. I would have NEVER signed him to that deal and would have traded him for 3 first rounders and more. I'm constantly boggled by how people continue to think this dude is a good QB. It's the same fucking arguments I had with Vick fans. Sure, he's fun to watch but he's not consistent enough.

The 2021 stats are even worse.

A lot of Ravens fans have the same sentiment, that he's overpaid and not worth the contract he got. And it's a shame, since it looks like Zay Flowers is going to be a good WR. But yeah, they had no vertical passing game whatsoever, even with Flowers and OBJ (who looks like he has something left in the tank).

Although, given this week, it looks like the AFC North is going to be a toss up, and all of their QBs looked meh.

On a related side note: CJ Stroud looks good, I thought he played well for a rookie, against a top D. It is a shame he has no weapons, I think their best skill position player is Robert Woods. But he did a better job than Lamar in moving the ball, and had better stats. Also, looking at Bryce Young's #s, Stroud may be the better player (at least this week). Don't know how Anthony Richardson did (I know he got hurt).

Re: Around the League Week 1

Never seen more hype for 1 player going to 1 team in the NFL than Rodgers to Jets this offseason, and it lasted a few plays seemingly this year. Just crazy. Uh, if they they think Wilson can keep up with the rest of the AFC good luck. Give them props for pulling out the W tonight. Crazy and great punt return.

They fucked. NO doubt about it. If they can keep up the run game then maybe that strong D will carry them.

Going to be interesting to see if Rodgers even comes back from this. I would hate to end my career like that but he is 39 and it is an Achilles tear.

Jets SB hopes are done if Wilson has to play the entire season. That was a pretty damn good game. Jets defense is legit.

Re: Around the League Week 1

Time for ARod to hang it up. That’s a long recovery and he’s 41? Yeah it’s time

The jets franchise is so cursed

Re: Around the League Week 1

Watching last night, I couldn't help feeling the Jets created the situation by not building a solid OL. AR was under pressure from the start, and Wilson often running from it. They spent all that money on AR and can't keep him upright?

That's a worrying parallel with us. We're going to face a lot of good pass rush teams this season, including those same Bills. If they aren't looking for FA and trade upgrades hard, we could be in the same boat as the Jets.
