just opened up the 2nd world portion of Horizon...these flying machines are a pain. Also had my first experience with a thunderjaw? Didn't go so well. Last edited by Chico23231; 05-21-2018 at 12:28 PM. |

New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
GOW is definitely MP...
I don’t think I’ve ever played two better games back to back than Horizon and GOW |

Re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
Can someone explain to me what Fortnite is all about? It's the first time I've felt old when it comes to video games. I've watched clips of people playing it and I don't get it.

It's a free to play game that you essentially harvest materials to build structures (either for defense or attack), while you and 99 other people try to outlast each other. The big kicker is that the map everyone lands on continues to shrink which eliminates the camper problem so many games have, and it forces navigating long stretches of the map forcing inevitable conflict. There is also no carry over, so once your dead, you can just boot back up and start a new game all over. That aspect makes it addicting as hell...

Re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
Horizon was dope...the actual play control was stellar. visually stunning and storyline was cool. The open world game still has those things that get tedious...but overall 10/10.
PS4...I think this is the game system most have been waiting for when it just comes to strength and capacity. Started Last of Us remastered...the first couple hours...I was like I don't know, lil slow and the control aspect is wonky. the challenge to reload and heal...aggravating. Now that I know how the game works, its awesome. |

Re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
Yeah my only complaint about The Last of Us was the controls, but overall an amazing game. Can't wait for the next one.

Re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
What games are worth playing on the switch? Outside of Zelda and Mario Kart I'm really not sure what I'd be interested in.

I am a Mario fan so it makes more attractive to me. It’s a fun system. Maybe not for everyone.

Fortnite is fun. I play with my daughter, she’s 11 and better than me already.
