Re: Commanders vs. Giants GameDay Thread
Also have to give DQ and his entire staff a lot of credit. I did not think they'd be this good. I was expecting 4-6 wins. If he get these guys to 11-12 wins he is hands down coach of the year. They nailed the GM, the coach and the QB. We are playing a rookie QB who plays like he's a vet. You got those 3 things and you got a chance to win year in, year out.

Re: Commanders vs. Giants GameDay Thread
I have gotten spoiled. When Jayden misses a throw and they are not hanging 40 points I am thinking "what happened?". I think the injury is showing an affect, he has not been as accurate the last 2 weeks but I expect that to improve.
Can someone with more X and O experience help me understand why this defense with players like the DTs, Luvu, Wagner and Chin can't stop the run? Are they making halftime adjustments because it always improves as the game goes on. Like the Bears game I was frustrated that the opponent was still in the game, we need to bury teams when we have them down. With that said after a Giants score, when they really needed the offense to stay on the field and produce points. they did that 2 times with 2nd half drives that resulted in points. The pass protection was excellent, no sacks and really not that much pressure given the opponent. I was happy for C Rod. He provided huge runs late when they were needed. But he is still our 4th RB and a marginal NFL player, what happened to Eckler and McNichols? OK so it was a bit boring but winning in NY is something new and I'll take it. |

Re: Commanders vs. Giants GameDay Thread
Eckeler is the most versatile but seemed to be getting a little banged up through the first half. CRod and McNichols took most of the late work. I think they like getting one guy into a rhythm rather than constantly rotating. McNick had 8 carries and CRod brought fresh legs when they needed it. I thought DQ and KK did a great job covering for BRob. Nearly 150 yds on the ground.
Some games are epic and some are just wins. Nice to be able to say that! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oline no sacks yesterday and opened up the run game for almost 150 yards.
Jeremy Chinn is earning an extension and Dante Fowler has been a solid depth pass rusher

Re: Commanders vs. Giants GameDay Thread
I really don't know how they did all this but it was very obvious that the people who are in charge really have an eye for talent. They know how to put a team together.
For instance getting rid of Dotson. I just did not like that move at all. They bring in these no names and they are making just enough plays at the right times. Just gotta gives these guys a ton of credit. And the o-line has been damn good. Did Dexter Lawrence even play yesterday? He is always destroying us and just nothing yesterday. |

Great win. Wish we didn’t show mercy at the end and score.

Re: Commanders vs. Giants GameDay Thread
Big time props to Brandon Coleman yesterday, 0 pressures, top pass-blocking grade on the team. Could we have really found our franchise QB and LT in the same draft?

Re: Commanders vs. Giants GameDay Thread
As I posted in the week 9 thread, Allegretti had to pop Coleman’s finger back in place during the game. Coleman didn’t miss a beat.

Re: Commanders vs. Giants GameDay Thread
BTW, shout out to special teams too. Seibert leading the NFL in points, and Way had only 2 punts, but averaged 56.5 yards and 1 was pinned inside the 20. Some decent returns from Ekeler and Zaccheus too. They're quietly getting the job done.
Team win.

Re: Commanders vs. Giants GameDay Thread
I love the fact that they usually kick off to the goal line so the other team has to return it. Most of the time its short of the 30!
