Edit - I think it’s fair to question whether trumps words are just words or whether it is effecting policy as well.

so bottomline, I hope no more people die. I will speak with hope, including about the steps our country takes. And I will be thankful for the Country's political leaders pulling together in Congress and the Presidency in their actions, even if they can't stop with political media speeches.

He's been a punchline prior to this, and I hate people believed in him, but this is a new level of low. And sure, Obama, George W., etc., would have had their faults, but I bet nearly every president in modern history would have done better. True story. The first known case of the Spanish flu came from a military base in Kansas, and media in Spain was the first to report on it because the majority of the focus in the worldwide media was on WW1 at the time (Spain wasn't involved). America got really lucky on that one.
