Going to be a crazy battle. Wirfs is dominating even as a rookie. Regardless, I think we can bring pressure.

Yes, Alex Smith is 5-1. But the Alex Smith today is a shadow of what he was before the injury to his calf. He is almost totally immobile. He was sometimes inaccurate - because he may have problem setting his foot now? I’m not sure I can remember a QB with so little ability to avoid a pass rush. The mistake the Eagles made was just to rush 4 in the first half. But once they started constantly blitzing in the second half, Alex was totally neutralized. Guess what the Bucs are going to do to him from the first play??

I was wondering whether Rivera would keep Smith in regardless of how far the team got behind. Alex Smith had 2 INT and almost a fumble. Some will argue that the first INT was a miracle catch. But the overthrow to McKissic almost was an INT.

In the Panthers game, he left Haskins in, even though he was playing poorly. Heinickle was unable to bring the team back from that far back and just 9 minutes to go. How far will we get behind and with very limited Alex Smith production because of blitzing, before Heinickle gets a chance to try to win?

My prediction is that we will lose by over 20 points to the Bucs. I absolutely hope I am wrong, and everyone here can pile on me for being a pessimist. But Alex Smith is maybe at 60% of the very good QB who replaced Allen and who helped us beat Pittsburg and the others. He can barely take even a couple steps now, and blitzing exposed his immobility. He is also somewhat inaccurate, unless he goes to the dink and dunk, like he did in the second half.

I hope Rivera will at least give Heinickle a decent amount of time if we get far behind. But I doubt it.

Also, the team ABSOLUTELY needs to draft a QB in the draft at our first pick. Smith is not even a short term answer as a starter. Beat me up now!!

You are looking at it with a negative outlook my man, 1-15 was the prediction by some, most had 3-13. This team is trending up

The Washington Football Team will officially conclude the 2020 season with the #2 ranked defense in the NFL according to
@ESPNStatsInfo
. Absolutely astounding.

This is amazing, Chase Young has been huge but Jack has done a GREAT job with this roster

Yeah but fuck the talking heads. Im not going to be happy about a losing record because we were supposed to have a worse losing record. Lol. Put in a healthy quarterback not named Dwayne Haskins (thank God) and this team can make noise this year. We saw Taylor play damn well. We saw Alex not be able to move. At all. We may be trending up but I want more. We are in the playoffs. We are 0-0 like everyone else. Enough with the comeback story. The guy is not mobile. He is not healthy. I want to win a playoff game and maybe more. There is nothing wrong with pointing out the fact that Alex may not be our best option. If Taylor starts and absolutely shits the bed call on Alex again. But exhaust all options before we call it a year. Fuck next year right now.

We played a conservative offensive game plan,

this coming week Turner and Ron need to run the ball at first to see if we can establish the LOS first...if so keep with it. But if we can’t run the ball, Ron and Scott fallback should be unload the playbook...I want to see misdirection, trick plays, screens, Logan thomas taking snaps under center, etc

If Reuben Foster recovers, look out and draft one too.

One guy that played the most I’ve seen this season and played well, Moreau.

If we lose Saturday, we'll be in prime spot to land one of these guys: https://walterfootball.com/draft2020ILB.php

Hey Where's the 24 hour rule -- F* Brady and talk of next year!

The WFT (no don't keep that ridiculous moniker - Let it stand out in the Record books as a forever note to political correctness)

Our Defense is legit this year, and regardless of how the media plays Pederson's decision, Philly was given an absolute gift of an interception at our 15, and they didn't score with Hurts in there AND going for it on 4th down from the 5.

Our offense was up and down but this was Philly's possessions in the 3rd qtr before Hurts was pulled:
3 plays 7 yards
8 plays 30 yards punt
7 plays 11 yards downs

Our defense has played lights out in the second half all year long, and they did it again yesterday.

Happy to see the Defensive Line as a group, and Chase Young particularly carry this team into the playoffs!!!

Right fuck next year. Put in a mobile healthy quarterback playing for a job and this defense will do its job. We put up 21 points and we can win any game.
If Alex is miraculously able to move by Saturday night than put him in on a short leash. Otherwise roll with Heineken. If we lose but exhaust all options than so be it.

Re: NFC East Champs

Last night and really all of yesterday waiting for the game was amazing. Meaningful football, prime time. Pumped up emotions. Playoffs for any sport is awesome.

A Saturday night prime time playoff game?

Hell yeah. Gives us time to prep our food layout accordingly, get nice but not too nice. Clean up the family room and get it all set up. This is perfect.

We're also forgetting the TD the refs gave them early on! I think we have a serious shot against TB. Win or lose, I love seeing the golden boy get fucked up.

I would love to see a mix of Heinicke and Smith. Put Smith in around the goal lines, mix in Heinicke from the 30 to 30's to push the safeties back, and open the running lanes.
