Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
So anyone we hire will be an improvement?? ok how about EB ?? Go back and read the threads about him being the problem all year and tell me he would make a good HC .so let's eliminate him .. it can only be Glenn or Weaver and they were Not on anyone's radar a few weeks ago . I just can't believe this new group didn't have some sort of clue that Johnson was not the guy ( for whatever reason) I was never a fan of his anyways and it just bothers me this happened.. My bet is Harris and company are furious at what he did and now damage control is in effect .. I'm more mad at them letting that "little Johnson" play them . F him and the lions

Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Quote:
Nothing was “botched”. Maybe things simply didn’t go our way, but the notion that we screwed something up is strange. When I said anyone we hire will be an improvement I wasn’t referring to EB. I don’t seriously consider him an option to be the next HC. |

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Only franchise without a HC and people think this is part of the plan? I am just not seeing it. I think the top target was missed and there was an unexpected wrinkle somewhere in the process that has caused a delay in the hiring.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
I say we be the 1st team to not even have a HC. Just complete autonomy for the OC, DC, and ST coaches. Through chaos comes order.

Agreed. It was BJ and suddenly it wasn’t. Had to reset. Although, there is really no rush at this point. Nobody is going elsewhere now. We will have a HC soon. |

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
What really is the HC role? Call time outs, throw a red flag, decide 4th down play? Honestly a trained monkey could do that. You might be onto something. Plus having a monkey on the sideline would be cool. There’s not much more adorable than a monkey in human clothes.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
No doubt we will .. at this point I would like them to take some time and interview more candidates .. because right now it looks like whoever gets hired was a desperate third choice . No reason to rush now

Good article on Quinn, question is? Why didn’t the Cowboys hire him

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
So it's at least a little important? You care somewhat, it's not a level 0.

The other 99.995% goes to the process the new ownership group and GM have put together, and who they ultimately think is the right man for the job. |
