The truth is MSNBC is much more opinionated than anyother news source, including the evil Fox News. Something even more telling is this quote:

Pew Study Finds MSNBC the Most Opinionated Cable News Channel By Far - Forbes

There are a few reasons why Fox is so popular:
Smoking hot news anchors
Extremely high quality journalism and excellent production, compared to competitors
Conservative bias, in a world where ever other media outlet has a liberal bias

ignorance?

It doesn't matter which news source it is, I don't consider this poll very reliable. I also am curious what they consider opinion vs fact and how they split the two up. What we should really be concerned about is that 2 out of 3 are more opinion than fact, and the one that has more facts is closer than I'd like.
The full research did take more than just those 3 days to analyze trends and topics, I would imagine pew used a representative sampling for graphing purposes:

Glen Beck was on Fox at one point correct?

and I know this guy is all about "real news",not opinion!

Bill O'Reilly GOES CRAZY In EPIC SEGMENT. This Is BULL BLANK. (O'Reilly vs Colmes) - YouTube
And Al Sharpton is on MSNBC. I suspect we'll say that everything we agree with is less biased than what we disagree with.

'Course in this discussion, I guess we can just categorize your claim as "opinion" rather than "news", and move on. Lol.

Anybody who agrees with absolutely everything the President says and does like Sharpton, Chris Matthews and Madow is a complete f*(cking moron. Just like Fox pundits (Hannity, etc.) did when Bush was in the office.

People need to start thinking for themselves again. Its really effing sad.

100% agree. its crazy how party lines get spouted from both sides while vilifying or demonizing the opposite side.

And what claim of mine in this conversation would that be, giantone?

Meanwhile in regards to your claim "most people think it's the opposite", re: the survey of MSNBC being the most opinion based, again you have nothing.

If most people believe it to be the other way around then why does FOX have the best ratings?

Point taken, I was relying on the text on the graph. I withdraw previous statements.

Without knowing what demographic was used I say they only polled Fox people.

It was done by Pew Reserchers. You didn't even read the article.

Even in death, conservatives can’t get an even break – especially from the Associated Press. Writer J.P. Freire caught the supposedly neutral news service bashing the late Margaret Thatcher in her obituary, while lionizing socialist nutball Hugo Chavez in his obit just one month earlier.

To AP, Britain’s first woman prime minister was an autocrat who “imposed her will,” by “breaking the unions,” until she was pushed out by a “mutiny.” “Love her or loathe her,” the obituary began. It was obvious which one AP chose. And all that in the first 70 words recalling her 11 years of service to Britain and the world.

Then there’s Hugo Chavez, who AP called a “fiery populist,” who “crusaded” and “championed.” AP didn’t even hint at Chavez’s controversial nature until the third paragraph and there they still softened the criticism. “He polarized Venezuelans with his confrontational and domineering style, yet was also a masterful communicator and strategist who tapped into Venezuelan nationalism to win broad support, particularly among the poor,” wrote AP.
Associated Press bias obvious even in Thatcher, Chavez obituaries | Fox News

Re: Has Anyone Else Completely Lost Faith In The Media?

Hacked AP tweets explosions at White House injures President Obama causing DOW Jones to plunge 100 points.

A terrifying report of explosions at the White House injuring President Obama caused the DOW Jones Industrial average to plunge 100 points after the Associated Press' Twitter account was allegedly hacked.

'Breaking: Two Explosions in the White House and Barack Obama is injured,' the news agency Tweeted just after 1pm on Tuesday.

The White House and AP quickly assured the public that the report was not true but word didn't appear to come fast enough to those frantically responding on Wall Street.

The Media AND Wall Street. Absurd.

*sigh*

CNN has completely fallen off the wagon. Not even going to talk about their shitty reporting during the Boston bombing incident.
