That's the most disturbing thing I've heard all night...what's worse is that it wouldn't surprise me at all.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
Rush Hour 3 was pretty freakin funny. Some of the jokes were really forced down your throat and then there were others that made me almost cry a little. plot was pretty much pointless, acting was so-so, and the action was balls to the wall awesome. Worth a matinee showing but I don't know about anything other than that.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
I just caught the latest Bourne tonight. You guys were right. Probably the sickest action flick I've seen in memory. Unlike the majority, I like the shaky cam (I'm a Greengrass fan- whoever he uses for cinematography always seems to work... check out "Bloody Sunday" and "United 93"). I'm able to see what's going on easy enough to know that the fight scenes are suppose to be unstable.
Oh yeah, all things being equal... Bourne would hand Bond his ass in a fight. |

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
superbad is super awesome seriously. GO watch it. I mean, it is so close to be a great 'classic' comedy. For some reason it was missing just a little bit of something that i can't pinpoint. I'm just being overly critical though. It was hilarious. F....ing hilarious. Great story with wierd funny shit happening. I can't say more about it.
It is a toss up between this and knocked up. They both are so good. I can't pick one. Knocked up probably had a better story so i'll give it to that. However, this is such a classic high school senior wants to get laid movie. One thing it wa smissing was a scene that was really really really funny. Like one that is extended. The movie had a bunch of one punchers. But the movie did have moments where everything came together. Next week i go back to school and i'm going to go watch it again with some people. |

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
I liked the Bourne Identity, but fell asleep through the Bourne Supremacy. That's what I get for starting a movie in bed around 10 pm.
The way people have been talking about the third movie, I guess I'll have to go back and watch the first two again. I don't actually remember too much about 'Identity' now that I think about it. |

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
Took the wife to see I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry last week. It was decent, definitely had its moments. I'd compare it to Big Daddy in terms of the kind of movie it is.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
superbad was funny as hell. plain and simple funny from beginning to end. it had a few really funny scenes but was mostly just consistently funny jokes. this movie though is not for those who don't like but so much cussing cuz almost every 2 or 3 words seemed to be F-^&, P#@@*, C@#$, or the like.
now I can't wait to see War on Friday.

I don't really care. Its a movie. It meant good by preaching equality but it is still a comedy so there are going to be those gay stereotypes thrown around. Funny funny funny movie if you take it for what it is, a movie. |
