Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Could this be a clue as to who they might hire as an OC? There’s been a lot of talk about him being the next offensive guru. Went to Seneca Valley HS and is from Germantown, MD, Towson alumni. https://x.com/jpfinlaynbcs/status/17...PjVVwlav8ILf0Q

Competence >>>>> "Leadership"
Rivera was a "leader". But he was absolutely incompetent.

Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Quote:
Was he though? Why did the team quit? Allens comments? Never, ever came out of the gates ready to go? Always throwing others under the bus? I am stunned at the fact he is getting interviews about being a DC. How do they go down? So Ron we were really impressed with that one game where your defense allowed under 500 total yards….. |

And those quotation marks were very purposeful. He constantly threw his players under the bus. He was simply the last relic of shithead. I still want Macdonald.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
I just don't see Quinn being the choice. It's Johnson or Macdonald.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
I was reading somewhere that the thoughts were mimicking the McVay-Wade Phillips relationship in LA at the start of McVay's tenure. That's one of the reasons I was thinking he was interviewing for something other than HC maybe DC/asst HC.

People forget what disorganized mess was the Cowboys defense, until Quinn came in and fixed them. And not just the Xs and Os but bringing discipline to that unit. I'm not specifically rooting for Quinn, but I'd be fine if Peters selects him to be the HC. I don't get why people get their undies in a bunch about him. Quinn/MacDonald/Johnson would all be good selections.

I've been following some Seahawks news and their local writers think that either Johnson or MacDonald will be their choice for HC. They say that it's close between those two. If Seattle ends up with MacDonald and we hire Johnson, then the scenario you presented might be the optimum way for the Commanders to go forward for a season or two. If they do, either Quinn or Glenn would be fine with me. Last edited by KI Skins Fan; 01-30-2024 at 11:09 AM. |

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Keim's latest podcast does a good overview of all the candidates that are not Ben Johnson. Very good listen.

Kinda getting tired and burned out of all of the coaching talk. Just hire a guy already and get going.
