I believe that Atlanta made a fine choice when they hired Raheem Morris. He has everything you could want in a leader and now he has the maturity and well-rounded experience he may have lacked when he was HC in Tampa Bay. I read that Bobby Slowik was very impressive in his interviews. He may have needed a little more experience to land a HC job this season. We'll find out. He may well be at the top of the list for 2025. I suppose that Mike MacDonald could land the HC job here but I doubt it because if we draft a QB with the #2 pick overall I think the brain trust will want a HC with an exceptional offensive mind to oversee his development. McDonald could also move to the top of the HC candidate list for 2025. I wonder if we could land an experienced defensive coach as our DC and Assistant HC. He could mentor Ben Johnson. Mike Vrabel? Aaron Glenn, if he were to be allowed to leave Detroit? The real reason I posted this is that every time I post a speculative move by the Commanders they make a decision before I can press the return key. You can thank me later today. |

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
I hope Slowik or McDonald don’t end up in Philly next year. I have a feeling Siriani will soil himself next year - I think his success was a combo of a good roster from Roseman and good assistants who were poached last year and he will be exposed in the upcoming season.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
here's hoping Baltimore loses tomorrow, we hire MacDonald, and Johnson helps the Lions beat the Chiefs in the SB.
That would be the perfect ending of this season for me |

I disagree with you about the Philly roster. They had a great group of star players who came up together and formed a great team. Then they started to get older and, as a group, they are no longer great. I think the 17 game season just about did them in as a team because of the wear and tear on their older roster. I believe they will continue to decline like they did in the latter part of this season. |

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
With BJ as the head coach , I wonder if he would consider Caleb Williams or would he want more of a pocket passer such as Maye… going to be very interesting to see what Chicago does Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I still think Chicago goes QB or trades for a team that does. I hope they do b/c I want no part of Caleb Williams.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Now give MacDonald 2 days to mourn, and hire him as HC Wednesday.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Is there any chance Johnson stays with Detroit again this year if he feels they are just a play away from the SB (assuming they lose today) or from winning the SB. Or is it a lock that he leaves?
