Re: Redskins Expected to Release Coles
The real shame is that CRT3 isn't awake right now. Dude could be marching right along past the Morton avatar and onto Taylor with this thread alone

Coles...expected...released... I'm like wait a second, I swear I read it about 3 times before I finally clicked on the link to the WP article, that's when it really sank in. I think a part of me was refusing to believe it and thought it was some joke. |

Re: Redskins Expected to Release Coles
It was really nice of the Washington Post to wait until we moved to a new server before releasing this story...Matty's got some serious connections over there
Would have sucked if this was one of the threads from Saturday that we lost in the transition

Re: Redskins Expected to Release Coles
I'm shocked, stunned and just got home with a 12 pack.
I remember at the end of the season in a press conference Gibbs mentioning LC's toe and surgery and it seemed in his voice that he was really for having him get the surgery. Coles doesn't want to risk it, but I think he'd still be a Redskin if he had. Coles is a great player and gives his all every down, however because of his injury he didn't help the team as much as he could've. I still trust Joe Gibbs and do think that LC will never be as good as he was when he got here.

Re: Redskins Expected to Release Coles
This is certanly not the news I wanted to wake up to this morning but I just get the feeling it is better this way that Coles leaves by mutual concent rather than fester away collecting his pay check and our offence would just not move on .
It sucks and might explain why our offence simply didn't work this year if none of the top three WR of the Spurrier system bought into the Gibbs way of things . It will be interesting to see what happens next |
