Re: Pics For Sharing & Debating
Yup. God and science simply can't coexist. Oh wait ...
“There can never be any real opposition between religion and science; for the one is the complement of the other. Every serious and reflective person realizes, I think, that the religious element in his nature must be recognized and cultivated if all the powers of the human soul are to act together in perfect balance and harmony. And indeed it was not by accident that the greatest thinkers of all ages were deeply religious souls.” Max Planck "My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble minds. That deep emotional conviction of the presence of a superior reasoning power, which is revealed in the incomprehensible universe, forms my idea of God..." Albert Einstein More Einstein: "The most beautiful and profound emotion we can experience is the sensation of the mystical. It is the source of all true science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead. To know that what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty, which our dull faculties can comprehend only in their primitive forms -- this knowledge, this feeling, is at the center of true religion." Mendelson, Copurnicus, Lemaitre, Kepler ... Clearly, they simply prayed their way to brilliance.

Re: Pics For Sharing & Debating
True story - my mother once told me that we should not have a space shuttle or space program because we will all be damned for trying to get near heaven while we are still alive.
I think she thinks heaven exists just beyond the orbit of the moon.
