My vote for him was simply because I am tired of career politicians getting into the White House and keeping with the status quo - which is exactly what Hillary Clinton would have done. I think people wanted a shake up in the White house, and Trump was about the only way it was going to get shook. Donald Trump is not my favorite individual, but people are greatly underestimating how powerful and smart he is. He might be exactly what this country needs. I voted for him, I'm going to support him. I don't give a damn who likes it or not. If I can't stand the SOB toward the end of his four years, I'll vote for someone else. But anybody who wants to call me racist, bigoted, and a moron for casting my vote for him is, quite frankly, and idiot.

Not everyone who voted for him is all of the above. Most are. Some are just one or two out of three. Some more are just horribly mis-informed and naive.

The point I'm making is that a metric shitload of Americans want him in office.

Hillary supporters act like they lost to a handfull of rednecks.
Obviously far from it.

Since when can a redneck not be a middle class white guy? I know plenty. Look there are those that voted for Trump who make me scratch my head. They do not appear to be uneducated, bigoted, etc.
The vast majority is "deplorable " though.

Re: Election Day

Regardless of what "they" are the us needs to find common ground away from career politicians. My hope is that trump will bring good people regardless of political affilliation to look at and recommend real solutions. Calling his supporters names is dismissive of the fact that this is 1/2 of the people who cared enough about the country's future to go out and vote. Lets move past bickering, name calling, and the rest and really work together to solve our country's issues

CNN is showing a protest and my first thought listening to their chants was what are we all in high school?

Re: Election Day

I agree with the getting away from the political establishment. Right idea. Wrong fucking guy.
It is funny though everyone is talking about the "losers" whining, and just get over it. Move on. Carry on.
For 8 fucking years these same people bitching about the whiners have been fucking whining themselves. America sucks is all i have heard. Now that some two bit con artist is in office I am suppose to march in unity with all Americans? Bit hypocritical. Ill just ride out the storm until jerk off either gets himself impeached, ends the world, or the four years is up. You guys who voted for him are on your own. Lol

Yeah, one of my co-workers, out of college a couple years I think, big Bernie supporter, came in round an hour late today. Her face was so red and puffy, it was obvious she had spent some of that morning crying.

Just to be clear, I hate the racist and the crook, I voted for Johnson, but still debated her when she was flat out wrong, like claiming college could be free for everyone, or that military guns have never been used by civilians before now (points to tommy guns). She's otherwise friendly, but argues everything political with utmost conviction like it's life or death, and when faced with contrary facts usually shrugs and says "whatever" and stick to her beliefs.

And I don't recall the majority of the TV news media so blatantly campaigning for one candidate before. The slanted news coverage, the landslide Hillary polls, giving Hillary debate questions in advance, vetting interview articles by her campaign before publishing, I dreaded the next four years no matter who won. It's like Aliens vs Predator, whoever wins, we lose. (I wanted Kasich to win, btw, would have settled for Cruz.)

But seeing these "safe space" millennials freak out, now that they finally lost a major election, is pretty entertaining.

She actually won the popular vote and lost the electoral college.
