Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction

Also I still can't believe the refs didn't call PI against the bengals on that bomb to Hankerson. Or that they called a phantom facemask against D Hall. Probably wouldn't have changed the outcome, but the officiating was disappointing again.

And also easy to say in hindsight, but I would have gone for it on 4th and inches. Our interior o-line was getting good pushes, and Morris has shown an ability to convert in those situations.

Don't like the punishment RG3 was taking. Less college ball please. There are other ways of getting the opposing pass rushers to back off (screens? HB draws?)

You do remember what we gave up for RG3 right?

I'd like to see the option stuff start to get phased out. Griffin is taking too many shots.

Is it better to have a shitty defense capable of forcing turnovers, or a solid/good defense that doesn't force any turnovers? I'm leaning toward the latter right now. Look at what the Rams did today against a good Bears defense, versus what they did against us last week. If we a solid defense that didn't force a lot of turnovers, I think games would be closer than they have this season. Obviously against the Saints that worked in our favor, but these last two games our defense has been manhandled all game.
... Can't I have both?

Bears defense was in God mode today. They held DANNY AMENDOLAIEHRFD to 66 yards receiving!

Was pleased with run defense today.

NOT pleased with yet another key injury. TW doesn't play defense, but that most certainly contributed to us not scoring more. Black got OWNED.

I think the fans and the media got a litte ahead of themselves after the Saints win. This team still has a ways to go.

NO. Under no circumstances will having an elite defense that also forces turnovers be allowed.

I honestly can't figure out what's wrong with the defense this year. They're basically the same defense from last year save a few moves here and there. But somehow we've gone from 13th ranked last year to currently 28th.
I think the thought process was if we can get a really good DL to push the pocket or rush the QB then the back end really won't matter. however they did address the Safety spot but ended up with two players who are injured. Go figure.
