Re: Pre Draft Thread 2.0
We are not trading the farm to move into the top 5-7. Not Ron’s style. Like others have said, MAYBE moving up a couple spots at most if there’s a guy there they covet. Otherwise it’ll be BPA for us or move back for more picks if a trade partner is available.
Every year this are always reaches and guys that fall in the 1st round they no one expects. We may very well still be able to end up with a top choice at 19.

I love having 5 picks in the first 82. I'm not a big Jamie Newman guy, but that could be my Louisville Cardinal bias coming out. He could pan out. Solid work. |

Re: Pre Draft Thread 2.0
I would run to select Parsons if he were available. We don't need a room of choir boys, we need football players. Parsons is a VERY good football player. Would you have wanted Ray Lewis? He was a great player, but did far worse things than Parsons has done.

You obviously do your homework on a guy like Parsons, I trust Ron here

Up to 5 QBS could go in the top 10. Then Penei Sewell and Rashawn Slater, OT. And Ja'Marr Chase, Devonta Smith, Jaylen Wadle at WR. Plus Kyle Pitts, TE and Patrick Surtain II, CB. Parsons will probably fall within or just after that list of players...so top 10 is possible but not guaranteed, especially with so many teams not considering him. There's a chance LB Zaven Collins goes before him too. I'd take him over Parsons here.

Re: Pre Draft Thread 2.0
^ That's a great draft, quality at the positions of most need.
We've bought a year at QB. We don't have to draft one this year, we can roll with Fitz and see if Heinicke is a long-term answer. If he's not, we draft one high next season...or get Aaron Rodgers who should be available.

Re: Pre Draft Thread 2.0
We should definitely be able to land a solid T with 1 of the 1st 3 picks. There are some good options outside of the 1st.

Re: Pre Draft Thread 2.0
I remember a certain wasted second round pick just a few years ago, Derrius Guice. He dropped like a lead weight for serious reasons and our then weak ass FO drafted him despite the red flags.
When investing a highly valuable asset like high draft and at 19 in this deep draft there are other options available. Don't become blinded. |

I think it's probably a moot argument anyway, there's no way he'll be there at 19. |
