Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
I'm still taking Penix and getting another guy. If you could get Harrison and Penix. Or one of the tackles and Penix. I'm going that route.

I like that Daniels seems to keep getting better and better and better. From where he was at Az State to where he is now is night and day. He had some massive games against SEC teams. |

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
everyone battling about williams, daniels or maye
just remember the 2018 draft where two stars where draft and they were draft outside of the top, one star was almost the 2nd round https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft/rounds/_/season/2018 the MEDIA wants us to love the drama of williams daniels and maye but the real brains say like Peters know who is best or best opportunity to succeeded

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
another thing to consider is where this talent ends up, sadly most top prospects ended up on the carousel of NFL habitual dysfunctional teams.
Just think if you came out of plumbers school with all As; teachers loved you did awesome. Your first gig is working at MA & PA Outfitters; they are swamped with jobs don't have enough tools to give you, they don't have a work van for you so you use your bike etc...how successful do you think you will be? A lot of success that Love and Lamar see is that they were drafted by quality franchises. do they have the same success say IDK, here? Probably not IMO Sam would have done better at a quality franchise; one that knew who to grow him not throw him to the wolves.

2024 Early Bird Draft Thread

Atlanta Desmond Ridder, Cincinnati (American) Arizona Kyler Murray%, Oklahoma (Big 12) Baltimore Lamar Jackson, Louisville (ACC) Buffalo Josh Allen, Wyoming (Mountain West) Carolina Bryce Young, Alabama (SEC) Chicago Justin Fields, Ohio State (Big Ten) Cincinnati Joe Burrow, LSU (SEC) Cleveland Deshaun Watson, Clemson (ACC) Dallas Dak Prescott, Mississippi State (SEC) Denver Russell Wilson, NC State (ACC) Detroit Jared Goff, California (Pac-12) Green Bay Jordan Love, Utah State (Mountain West) Houston CJ Stroud, Ohio State (Big Ten) Indianapolis Anthony Richardson, Florida (SEC) Jacksonville Trevor Lawrence, Clemson (ACC) Kansas City Patrick Mahomes, Texas Tech (Big 12) Las Vegas Jimmy Garoppolo, Eastern Illinois (FCS) LA Chargers Justin Herbert, Oregon (Pac-12) LA Rams Matthew Stafford, Georgia (SEC) Miami Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama (SEC) Minnesota Kirk Cousins, Michigan State (Big Ten) New England Mac Jones, Alabama (SEC) New Orleans Derek Carr, Fresno State (Mountain West) NY Giants Daniel Jones, Duke (ACC) NY Jets Aaron Rodgers%, California (Pac-12) Philadelphia Jalen Hurts, Alabama (SEC) Pittsburgh Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh (ACC) San Francisco Brock Purdy, Iowa State (Big 12) Seattle Geno Smith, West Virginia (Big 12) Tampa Bay Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma (Big 12) Tennessee Ryan Tannehill, Texas A&M (Big 12) Washington Sam Howell, North Carolina (ACC) % regular starting QB; currently injured Some pretty good quarterbacks in the league from the ACC and Pac - 12. I also wouldnt call any of the power 5 trash. They are the best of the best coming out of highschool. Of the top 10 quarterbacks in the league right now I think maybe 2 are from the SEC. The NFL folks obviously look at mechanics, speed, intelligence, awareness, arm strength. These kids are 21 years old and getting coached up by professionals if they make it to the big show. It doesnt matter who they played against in college. |

For the record I am leaning towards JD. It is based on draft profile strengths and weaknesses vs Maye and Williams though. Not necessarily his competition. And yes it is a plus column that he played against the SEC. A minor one imo but it doesnt hurt. |

I will lol so hard if Cousins is re-signed.. Ruhskins will stroke out.
All jokes aside what if we made a run at Kirk, moved back and got Harrison and a tackle in the 1st? Hmmmm.... |
