I'm leaning towards Ben Johnson as HC - I think there's some fire to those reports. They acted quickly with Peters and the only thing holding this up is Detroit making the final four. I'm secretly hoping they go all the way - it would be beneficial for BJ to get that SB experience.

I think it's pretty obvious that Johnson is our guy.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
I have fond memories, iirc wasn't that Santana who mossed him in 05 on Monday night? Thanks for your contribution to probably my favorite Skins highlight.

Wait, that was in 2005?
We’ve been suffering for a while. Yes, Moss ran by Glenn twice! |

As of now, the open HC jobs are: Washington Seattle Falcons HC spots filled (Schefter or other confirmed sources): Chargers - Harbaugh Titans - Callahan (Cinci OC) Carolina - Canales (Tampa OC) Vegas - Pierce (interim tag removed) Suddenly there are not as many coaching opportunities out there as it seemed on Black Monday. |

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Funny I can't help thinking that those already filled, aside from Raiders and possibly Chargers, have gone for guys that would take those jobs rather than necessarily their 1st choice/best available. Says to me that the likes of Johnson and McDonald are not only waiting on their season finishing but are waiting on the best job. Likewise we're trying to get the best guy we can rather than settle early. Sounds good either way.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Johnson is the perfect fit for a young team. He can grow as a HC with the organization. It won’t happen overnight but I think he will succeed in DC

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
So I can see why they’d do this. One, out of respect and two, let Ben Johnson finish the season.
https://x.com/adamschefter/status/17...Wp4Gow4eRjPyzg Per Adam Schefter: “ The last two head coach openings of this cycle are the Seahawks and Commanders. Neither team is expected to hire anyone until next week, after Sunday’s conference championship games, per league sources.” |
