Re: Draft grades
I think the idea was to have a vet to back up Roullier if and when he gets hurt again. Risky given Roulier's injury history but Gates isn't starter material.

Good chance Roullier ends up getting cut.

Re: Draft grades
Would be cool if Stromboni can beat out Gates.
Leno Paul Stromboni Cosmi Wylie Gates as No. 1 swing C/G. Daniels as No. 1 swing T. Really hope we can add a legitimate swing tackle after the post-draft cuts that will be coming up. Don't think Daniels playing year 1 at T would be the best if Leno or Wylie go down.

Re: Draft grades
I would be surprised if we don't sign a vet tackle before the training camp.

Re: Draft grades
Lucas is washed. Hopefully the swing tackle for 2023 isn't on the team yet.
Can't expect 34 games from Leno and Wylie, so they need to get that handled.

Problem is that is 5 question marks. Not one guy there that you think “ok well we are set there”. Could they gel and improve because of reasons you mentioned? Yup. Could it be an absolute train wreck? Yup. |

LG and C, yeah, not super confident about those at all. We will be better than last season. Leno Traffic cone Gates/Stromboli Traffic cone Wylie This is an improvement over last season.

Re: Draft grades
Stromboli was a 4 year starter. He can win the job.

Commanders signed Mason Brooks Offensive Line | Ole Miss Rebels Mason Brooks was an outstanding lineman for Western Kentucky – the same school that Mitchell Tinsley attended initially – playing both tackle and guard at a very high level. He transferred to Ole Miss for his 2022 season and played mostly in reserve. But his physical tools – 6-foot-6 and 315 pounds – with good feet, and his smarts (he was a consistent honor roll student in college), have earned him a longer look in the pros. A few months ago, Brooks was a first-round draft pick of the Memphis Showboats in the USFL. But he has opted to take a shot with the Washington Commanders after getting an offer in undrafted free agency. Washington values positional flexibility. Brooks will probably kick inside to guard in the NFL, but he has ample experience at tackle and could be good in an all-purpose reserve role. The Commanders’ interior line situation remains a work in progress. There are a lot of new pieces to juggle this season, and no one has a position locked up. A spot on the final 53 may be a longshot, but Brooks should be competing with Aaron Monteiro, Nolan Laufenberg, and Keaton Sutherland for a couple of slots on the practice squad.
