Heck i'd even peg Galloway to be comeback player of the year before i peg Devin Thomas as a breakout candidate.
Just the other day Kyle was saying how Devin isn't in the gameplan much for this week.
But, then again it could be coachspeak.
It still seems strange to me that Devin Thomas isn't going to be in the gameplan. He is the tallest receiver and fastest (aside from banks) that we have, why not have him play? Whats the alternative, Roydell Williams? I'd take my chances with DT.

Overall, I think it probably is just coach speak.

Agree, I still expect good things from him this season for the Skins.

I think it is time to get him on the field. Galloway is invisible and Armstrong does not have the physical skills to play out by the numbers. He certainly cannot run the fade.

Agree, they have to find plays for him, if WR's are going to drop balls then why can't we put DT out there. People bitch*d & moaned about how many catches he dropped in preseason then are starters went out & did the same thing.

I think the moment got to Armstrong. He needs to get over that because we need a guy who is going to produce something.

The drops seem to have happened league-wide...at least in the games I saw. The Jets were as butter-fingered as us...Shonn Greene couldn't even handle screen passes from the backfield.

Week 1...everyone is a little out of 4-quarter game shape.

Our offense will get going.

Dude looked like a guy running with his hair on fire returning kicks the other night. A more appropreiate thread should be: "what week will this guy run one all the way back?" The offensive gurus need to get this guy in on more offensive chances.

This guy will be talked about in the same breath as a Devin Hester. Maybe our best kick returner since B-Mitch. One can only hope.

I see it this way we win this week against the texan's all WR's but Moss go missing again & we get another good return game from DT so the coaching staff have no choice but to put DT in I don't want it to happen that way but that's the only way it will.

I think the coaches have sent a message to Thomas by burying him in the depth chart. He can either respond by preparing more professionally or he can sulk, and from all signals the coaches are giving, it has been the former. I can imagine that he's giving more attention to the little details that this staff demands, and he will be on the field every down before too long.

I think Devon is commited to being a legit NFL WR and it may take him a little time but he does have the skills to succeed. I think Devon will get his turn and when he does he will not disapoint the Redskins and fans.

Re: Devin Thomas - The next big thing in Fantasy Receiving????

I don't understand why people were so surprised with DT's lack of production and mental unpreparedness. I called it when he was drafted -- he had 1 good year at Michigan State. You have one good year, that just means you have the physical tools, not that you're ready to play in the NFL. And kids coming out of Michigan State should have a huge red flag on them -- that school isn't exactly known for discipline and producing mature football players.
