Re: Mlb 2015
I like the Mets I remember pulling for them in 86 as a kid. I think if the real David Price shows up tomorrow that KC-Toronto series goes 7.

Re: Mlb 2015
Am I the only one not rooting for the Mets? Admittedly as a Nats fan I have a conflict of interest there. I can see why everyone is rooting for them after years of Cards/Giants dominance. Even though the Mets have been that perpetual "lovable loser" for years I will probably root for the winner of the Blue Jays/Royals series. I'm hoping for the Blue Jays to advance since they are the underdog though.

Re: Mlb 2015
this is my main reason for being a fan...one of my earliest baseball memories. instantly was a Mets fan...the Bill Buckner boot is up there with the greatest sports play of all time, easily. It strengthen this idea of "the curse" and allowed for the greatest ninth inning comeback in baseball history.

Re: Mlb 2015
Eh. His playoff performances leave much to be desired. I don't know that we're going to find a Maddon/Torre/La Russa/Davey Johnson type out there right now though. I think after the inexperience of Matt Williams they want someone with a lot of experience that can get us over the hump. Mattingly is like the Peyton of baseball, always tough in the regular season but can never get his team deep in the postseason. I'm kinda warm to the idea of Bud Black even though he didn't do well with the Padres.

Re: Mlb 2015
I can only speak for myself but today is not a good day to be a Nats fan. I imagine this is what it would have felt like if the Redskins had hired Jim Fassel back in '08. And I honestly can't believe the Lerners cheaped out on Bud Black with this roster as talented as its' ever been.
