Not one WR rumored to be off the board so far. I wonder if that means teams aren't willing to pay a premium for a position that is considered to be pretty deep in the draft.

He told them he was leaving after he was only offered a one year deal by Belichick. Tampa offered two years, 50 million guaranteed, warm weather, no state taxes and better talent at the skill positions. Pretty much a no brainer.

Brady restructured his contract in the 2018 or 2019 offseason, so he could leave in the 2020 offseason. I'm pretty sure when this happened, Brady had made up his mind that he was leaving. You're right about all the other attributes about Tampa Bay, but it's not like they had to convince him, Brady knew he was leaving New England. The Patriots on the other hand, had this pipe dream that they could convince Tom to stay and that was Plan A, which was stupid IMO.

Nelson Agholor potentially the first WR off the board to the Patriots - nearing a deal per Rapoport...

Damn:

@AdamSchefter
Broncos reached agreement with former WFT and Eagles CB Ronald Darby, per source.

Patriots going absolutely nuclear in free agency. Still won't come in better than 3rd place in their division.

That’s too bad. He did well for us. Another hole to fill.

Update on Darby deal:

RapSheet
The #Broncos are giving CB Ronald Darby a 3-year, $30M deal, source said, with $19.5M fully guaranteed.

He really put his best season together last year...lot of speed who proved he could play outside and not just slot. Thought he woulda fit here as a second tier guy if we didn’t land a premium player.

Sucks about Darby...

Tom Brady is bringing Gronk back:

@RapSheet
The #Bucs are bringing back TE Rob Gronkowski, giving him a 1-year deal worth up to $10M, per
@DrewJRosenhaus
.

Well that sucks. Good for Darby. That would've been tough to match or beat.

CB definitely now a strong possibility at Pick No. 19.

Another hole to full. Grab those shovels.

Re: NFL Free Agency Around the League

I think Bellichick's dog is running the free agency war room:

@RapSheet
The #Patriots aren’t done. They are signing WR Kendrick Bourne, source said. He gets 3-years for $22.5M.

I'm a little surprised, Belichick has never been the FA type. Guess life without Brady is tougher than he thought it would be.

Doh...they probably could have matched that. That seems like a fair deal. Maybe they think they can do better?
