I know you're high on Smith but anyone that has worked with or under Ozzie would also be really high on my list.

Ron is not a good coach but he's better than McDaniels - we always stumble around to average every year. Players respect him whereas they don't respect McDaniels. McDaniels ego was so big he thought he can turn a high-schooler into an All-Pro. That's what did him in. Let Ron ride out the year, hopefully we keep seeing improvement from Howell and we clean house in the offseason. I'd love for Kyle Smith to come back as GM in the offseason, we need some fresh blood there. Go find the next Kyle Shanahan for coaching - we need a guy who can maximize our late round draft talent.

Yes, a halfway competent staff would have us at 6-4 or 7-3 right now. |

Ron isn't better than anyone and neither is del Rio.
They should have been gone WEEKS ago.

Re: Can we get some D - Seahawks post game thread
They need to go however if they do I wouldn’t be surprised if the team collapses and when that happens players could quit or get hurt .. I would not get rid of Ron until season ends however I would move on from JDR .. like today! Ron is the same coach as he has always been .. middle of road type.He hired Eric and the Offense for the most part is playing ok . The D has collapsed completely ( Ron and the front office signed off on trading our top two pass rushers.. so essentially they threw in the towel on the D ) so why not move on from JDR??

I know people hate on Carroll but he is damn good coach. He's in his 70's and has the energy of a guy in his 20's. That rubs off on his team I feel. He's going up and down the sidelines coaching guys up- it matters.

Re: Can we get some D - Seahawks post game thread
Rivera and Del Rio are losers. And I mean just by the actual definition. They just are incompetent and cannot win more than a handful of games each season.
The job they have done on defense is an absolute fucking embarrassment. If they had any self-respect, they would come out and say the same and re-sign. Instead they will continue to "steal" money for the rest of the season. When they get fired, I want a celebration with them walking out of the building. Like the reverse of when a king comes back into his city after being out on wars.

With how many first round picks on defense? That final drive yesterday would be the nail in the coffin for any other DC on any other team whose DC’s seat was already on fire, but stubborn Ron will keep him. Why? Because Ron enjoys losing. My God those two are such a detriment to this team. Oh well 7 more games with dumb and dumber. |

Re: Can we get some D - Seahawks post game thread
The positive is we will have a ton of $ to spend , new owners , Damn good QB and draft picks.
This season is a wash but at least EB and Howell are a good duo. Yesterday Sam made some damn good plays scrambling… I don’t want to get crazy but he looked like a mini mahomes on some… not saying he’ll be like 15 but u get the point. The defense is just absolutely a train wreck. The talent just isn’t there. Look at our LBs and Safeties. Curl is solid but he’s not a star S, on most teams he’s JAG. I certainly wouldn’t pay him 10M a yr. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Can we get some D - Seahawks post game thread
Ron and Jack don't like sending pressure. But it seems like whenever they did it worked. Sanchez even mentioned it. Why not keep doing it? The definition of stupid is doing something over and over again that doesn't work. This is Geno Smith. Why didn't they come off the bus pressuring him? I just don't get those two. What are they afraid of? Your defense already sucks.

Re: Can we get some D - Seahawks post game thread
One guy who has played well the last 2 weeks and is being used properly is Antonio Gibson. With a solid OL, he would be a weapon, I think he could be resigned on a friendly contract and they should.

Re: Can we get some D - Seahawks post game thread
When's he's not fumbling, he looks like a good football player. Keep him away from in-between the tackles as much as humanly possible, and he can make some plays.
