Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
https://bleacherreport.com/articles/...in-play-for-hc
I would be more than ok with Ben Johnson. Slowick would be my choice but Ben Johnson is absolutely fine. Anything can go wrong but it is amazing how the first offseason without Snyder is going to produce a real GM, HC, and QB. This could have easily unfolded where he left and the cap space and draft picks were non existent. |

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
While I doubt it'll happen (he gets an offer), my money is on them waiting it out to see if he gets an approach for a HC or another OC position, to get compensation. There are enough HC candidates to go around as it is, and I doubt anyone wants to expend picks to take him. Betting he's let go soon after a new HC is appointed, but I doubt he goes before. Likely he'll be back in KC next year.

Good post. HC is a leader of men and sets the tone for the whole team. Maybe Ben Johnson has the right qualities for HC and would be good at finding his own OC. But the lesson from teams like Texans, Ravens, and Lions may be that you need a boy genius coordinator, not necessarily a boy genius HC. And on Slowik, the more I watch CJ Stroud, the more I wonder who’s making the other look so good? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
If Ben Johnson is the guy, and Detroit beats LA, what does that mean for interviews?

I don’t think winning or losing comes into it. Pretty sure they can do virtual interviews after WC round and in person after divisional round (1/22). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Slowick was already a hot commodity in San Fran. I think they compliment each other perfectly. |

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
The combo I’m daydreaming about at the moment is Vrabel as HC and the *next* Slowick or Ben Johnson as OC. There must be a QB or WR coach about to bust out.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
When I watched the Texans, Packers and the Lions it makes me even more mad at EB. Those offenses were called and scripted perfectly this weekend. Then you look at ours and just nothing but horseshit chuck and duck.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
There's such a glaring difference on both sides of the ball when you watch our games, and then tune into other NFL games. It's not effort either.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
This is one reason we have to be careful not to write off our players too quickly. Coaching matters.
