Re: The Too Soon 2021 NFL Draft Thread
My first too (hello fellow Brummie! ):
19. Kyle Pitts TE Florida 63. Amon-Ra St. Brown WR USC (trade) 74. Eric Stokes CB Georgia 87. Jackson Carman OT Clemson (trade) 98. Demetric Felton WR UCLA (trade) 124. Kellen Mond QB Texas A&M 136. Aaron Banks OG Notre Dame (trade) 243. K.J. Britt LB Auburn Trade returns: 2022 NO 4th 2022 PIT 5th I went for BPA/value, beefing WR OL and CB. Maybe better value in a higher LB pick but Britt could be good value. I like Mond from what little I've seen and he could, like Lance, benefit from a year behind a vet like Allen or even Heinicke. |

Re: The Too Soon 2021 NFL Draft Thread
PFN mock draft simulator is crazy with trades. I got all these picks and picks for next year on just accepting certain trades. I didn't actually propose any. No way trade offers are this common but it was a fun exercise.
32. Zaven Collins LB Tulsa 95. Elijah Moore WR Mississippi 97. James Hudson OT Cincinnati 98. Kelvin Joseph CB Kentucky 101. Kyle Trask QB Florida 124. Ben Cleveland OG Georgia 127. James Wiggins S Cincinnati 135. Monty Rice LB Georgia 140. Rodarius Williams CB Oklahoma State 142. Frank Darby WR Arizona State 153. Quintin Morris TE Bowling Green 174. Damar Hamlin S Pitt 178. Josh Palmer WR Tennessee 243. Tommy Kraemer OG Notre Dame 245. Jamar Johnson S Indiana 2022 TB 3rd 2022 DEN 3rd 2022 IND 3rd 2022 NO 3rd 2022 TB 4th 2022 IND 5th 2022 NO 5th 2022 TEN 5th 2022 DAL 6th

Re: The Too Soon 2021 NFL Draft Thread
My PFN, no trades, I'd let Scherff walk, one of Ts on roster backs up G or starts at G. Our Ts wolud then be Lucas, Moses, Charles, Leatherwood, Little, one moves to or swings G this year, next year Lucas is FA and Moses can be cut no cap cost, both older than 30 gone, we have Leatherwood, Little, Charles, draft one more T 3rd to 7th round, maybe a G, OL solved. Open competition this year at T both spots. This gets us 2 QBs, cut Allen, 3rd Heinecke, long term solutions at LT and RT, which with C locked up solidifies OL for 4 years. We have developmental QBs, 3 of them, and the Ts to protect them on the edges. Added a decent RB which we could use behind Gibson, cut non-producers or guys with no burst like Love. Added a big athletic WR with true speed, a big corner, and a TE. Hit every high leverage position, but did not address the one gaping hole in D at FS, nor the needs at LB. Getting a QB and protecting him more important, next year finish shoring up D with stopgaps in FA similar to this year, low cost players smart deals.
19. Mac Jones QB Alabama WAS 51. Alex Leatherwood OT Alabama WAS 74. Javonte Williams RB North Carolina WAS 82. Walker Little OT Stanford WAS 124. Nico Collins WR Michigan WAS 164. Benjamin St-Juste CB Minnesota WAS 243. Peyton Ramsey QB Northwestern WAS 245. John Bates TE Boise State |

Usually don't like taking WRs in the first but I'd take him at 19

Re: The Too Soon 2021 NFL Draft Thread
Maybe not, but covering up a weak guard is easier to do than other position groups. I would argue it would be better to have a mid tier guard on a low cost salary and put that money into a different position group than it would be to pay $18 mil + per year for a guard and suffer with your talent level at other position groups.
