Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Yeah I don't see the Cam thing either. Instead of signing him off the street last year we traded a 5th for Allen. Why would we be interested now?

Cam would win that job, he's better than Allen and is more polished than TH

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
If Ron had ANY faith in Cam, he would have been here last season. Cam was available for next to no money, for many months.

I am not sure about those tweets, no sign of this information anywhere else and the Dan Orlovsky tweet doesn't even appear on his twitter page.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Cam sucks and is washed up, he was terrible in NE. He can run and that’s about it, this would a typical Hurney move.

#Texans GM Nick Caserio: “I just want to reiteraten our commitment to Deshaun Watson. … We have zero interest in trading the player. We have a great plan and vision for him. We look forward to spending more time with him."

Also keep in mind the best teams get 3-4 extra draft picks each year because they work the comp pick system. They draft tons of players continually, sign FAs judiciously because they don't even have money to lock up their own homegrown talent, and the machine just grinds on with 10 or 11 picks per year instead of 7. HUGE difference. You never get to that point if you don't commit to building primarily through the draft. If this team could ever go five years without some num-nutted trade based on the delusion that we are close to being a contender, it might attain real long-term success. But it just can't ever resist the temptation and commit to building the right way for more than 2 years at a time. The only people that last long-term here are those that kiss THE DAN'S ass, period, and such individuals are never good football people. We finally have momentum, and could keep crushing it with more young talent added, instead everyone wants to mortgage the future yet again. How many times do we have to see this approach fail to learn from it? I will always write it THE DAN to mock the way he makes people salute him and won't let them look him in the eyes, and I don't care how it sounds. I use voice recognition, length is what it is. |

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Heinicke would smoke him. But I don’t want to ever find that out because Cam does not need a roster spot on this squad.

Per SF Twitterverse, Stafford is wanting to play for the niners... guess we’ll see if that’s true soon enough
