Guess they'll probably cut one and amnesty the other. If they can actually get anything for either...we'll have won the off-season

Blatche and Lewis are freaking horrible, my fear is we would draft someone in their similar soft style. We need physical play, and I thought the accusition of Nene was a good start.

Anthony Davis has a chance to be good, but im not sold. Thomas could be a better player in the long run.

But everytime I watch Kentucky play, always more impressed with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, the guy is lockdown on defense, great size, decent scorer. A good friend who is a huge college b-ball fan said he was amazed Davis was out-hyping Kidd-Gilchrist, Gilchrist was hands down the better player.

Well, they used to show the ping pong balls being picked out. Why stop?

just go in order with the best team getting the first pick. Worst team in NBA history? 2011-2012 Charlotte Bobcats and they get a 25% chance of getting the first pick? That is not logical. Good thing I am a Mavericks fan.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

Did an error or glitch happen when they used to do it live all the time? As far as I know, that format was not broken. Are there any reporters that have witnessed the random selection privately that we recognize as credible reporters?

I didn't have any suspicion about the draft until they decided to do the random drawing private. Yes, I agree the only reason televise it would be to appease those who are suspicious. I am sure that the NBA knows this. There must be a higher value to them than appeasing us "conspiracy theorists" since they are keeping it secret. I would like to know what that value is.

Im sure Stern kinda likes all the talk about conspiracy theories with the draft, but the notion this thing is rig is in the redunkulous territory.

Thanks for the links. After reading the articles, combined with a lack of complaining from other NBA franchises about the secrecy of the random draw, I am convinced that it is probably legit. Now I can just focus on these UFO's - I KNOW those are real.

so that it would be sold in a good price ..haha. Michael Jordan would be very depressed about it since they've done so much in order to get the #1 seed (won only 7 game on the season)

Leonsis' reluctancy to hold anyone accountable on both the Caps and Wiz is starting to annoy me.

David Stern asks Jim Rome, ‘Have you stopped beating your wife yet?’ in response to lottery-fixing question in radio interview | Ball Don't Lie - Yahoo! Sports

What the hell is wrong with David Stern?

Quote:
After emphasizing that his line of questioning intended no disrespect, Rome noted that he still thought the question valid, since many NBA fans and observers have openly questioned the validity and purity of the lottery. This time, Stern not only bristled — he swung.

"Have you stopped beating your wife yet?" Stern asked.

Quote:
"OK," Stern said. "Listen, I've got to go call somebody important, like Stephen A. Smith, right now. He's up next."

"All right, you go make that call, and I'll go talk to somebody else, too, I guess," Rome said.

"All right," Stern said.

"All right, commissioner. Have a nice day," Rome said. "I did not hang up on him — we are officially out of time. We will come back and reset that momentarily. Stay tuned."

This guy has lost his mind. I did find the Stephen A. Smith bit funny, even though it was unprofessional as hell.

Re: Hornets win draft Lottery; Wizards pick 3rd

I just heard it. I thought it was pretty hilarious.

Ill admit at first i thought Stern was just being a complete dick and not that the phrase is the classic example of a loaded rhetorical question. Im guessing the saying was more common back when Stern was a little younger.

But as much as i hate Rome, what he asked was fair.

Stern is not the most pleasant guy to converse with, but even that went beyond anything I'd ever heard him say. Way inappropriate in my opinion.
