re: BREAKING NEWS: Cerrato resigns (Bruce Allen hired as VP/GM) - merged

I saw it on Mike and Mike and starting singing 'Oh happy day!!' That's got to mean, as speculated, that something is already lined up. Snyder doesn't make a move unless he's got the next one lined up..

Schefter coming up on Mike & Mike soon apparently. Messed up my morning, I had things to do but now my focus has shifted, lol!

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

Side question.... anyone kinda okay with Zorn keeping his job? Stranger things have happened in Redskins land.
I think if Holmegren got brought in, its still unlikely, but I could see it happening...

If Sherman Lewis is still calling the plays, I'm Ok with it.

Okay, thanks for the info.

I'm not certain how I feel about that, but it makes sense that the new GM should pick his coach. I just hope we don't go GM & HC as one in the same.

This is the beginning of the sign I have been looking for from Snyder. His willingness to change.

This also probably spells the end for Zorn as well.

That's kind of where I was leaning. I mean, IF, and thats a pretty big if, your going to stick with Campbell... I'm on the boat that you need to stick with Zorn as well.

His development has improved, and it looks like this things is worth at least another year (could be applied to both Campbell and Zorn). I know that everyone was calling for a huge fire sale, but why not fix what's broke...and move on from there.

Something has to be done with Landry too. The original hooskins "Landry grinds my gears" thread is becoming hall of fame worthy.

Spells the end for Zorn?

He was gone as soon as Lewis was hired.

I'm totally shocked w/the timing. After January 3 I wouldn't have been. Gotta wonder what Snyder has up his sleeve.

So long Vinny, I hope all is well w/you personally & DS gave you a nice chunk o change to raise your baby, but in the long run this may be bigger for our team than Joe Gibbs coming back.

Will this be the last Vinny thread?

Lets hope that in 2-4 years we don't see threads about DS re-hiring him, or nostalgic for the great drafts of VC.
