I think that would happen regardless of KK being here

This is why I asked the question. One has to hope that Quinn had at least some say and that they he knows he can have a good working relationship with Kingsbury. If it's Peter's dictating the style then that doesn't set a good tone.

Just what we needed, another failed head coach.

Most failed head coaches got the job in the first place because they were brilliant coordinators, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Two very different jobs

Both coordinators were Quinn or he was the primary say in the room

The new DC has to be from Quinn and the speed at which it happened after DQ signed his deal then KK backed out of the LV job would indicate DQ had him lined up for wherever he landed. I'm sure this was part of the interview process for DQ, its one of the major questions to ask when interviewing the HC candidates

I don't know how much coaching EB provided Mahomes, Reid designed the offense and did the play calling and Matt Nagy was the QB coach that cultivated him while he sat the first year.

He definitely has a great eye at the college level I just don't know how much of what he did in college with his athletes is important for their success at the pro level. I just remember him really struggling in Arizona with the pro game.

Re: Kliff Kingsbury Thread

This is a good read on Kliff's air raid scheme from the 2021 season.

https://weeklyspiral.com/2021/09/24/...izona-offense/

Has some good and some bad about the system he ran, I am sure it won't be the same as what we run. We don't have AJ Green, Hopkins or Zach Ertz. I would also assume he has learned from what hasn't worked.

Not really sure about this hire, how does this guy keep getting jobs with a mediocre resume? But I'll stay in wait and see mode.

Kyle's injuries also derailed Kliff as well ; i have said this before but football is so many moving parts its hard to pin point one part that is the absolute cause of failure

You have to build a synergy of parts that work well together and that may mean bringing in a "broken" part from another machine that then eventually works well for you

Also the list of QBs he’s had is legit

In AZ they had a top 10 offense twice with him as the HC / OC.

Huh? He went to the Cardinals, the cheapest tightest team in the NFL.

Re: Kliff Kingsbury Thread

Kyler Murray was his downfall!!! Murray was an over spoiled immature little brat that blamed everyone around him for his own failures. Called out teammates. Larry Fitzgerald retired a couple of years early because he didn't want anything to do with Murray. The Cardinals biggest problem was everyone babied Murray, including Kingsbury. He had no balls to tell Murray to shut the hell up and start studying. Either did the front office. They wrote it into the contract that Murray signed. Then when it became public and Murray cried they removed the language out and resigned a revamped contract.

His last injury and everyone around him losing their jobs because of him seems to have humbled him a bit. He was the biggest reason for Kingsbury's failures . . . plus their defense was terrible and their GM was drafting worse than Rivera!!
