Re: Washington Capitals 2011-2012 Ongoing Thread
No, Winnipeg isn't. Slipped my mind there. We have to know there's gonna be at least a couple teams moving around as a result of the Thrashers moving to Winnipeg. But Detroit to the SE, and Winnipeg to the Central? That's lame. I pretty much agree with this post on Puck Daddy. All they need to do is put the Jets in the Pacific, move the Stars to the Central, and move Nashville to the SE. Puts 3 teams in their proper division and solves the realignment problem.

Detroit has done its part building up the Western Conference for over a decade. they've earned the right to have their "promise" upheld and return East

Re: Washington Capitals 2011-2012 Ongoing Thread
Yeah, true. Well what if they moved Detroit to the SE, Jets to the Pacific, and Stars to the Central? Honestly I think the whole conferences need realignment, since Columbus should go to the East and maybe Nashville as well. Columbus should be in the same division as their geographic rival in Pittsburgh. Dallas doesn't belong in the Pacific either, and Detroit is obviously first in line when it comes to moving back to the East.

Any move to steal Oven Chicken's team's overrated thunder is a-ok in my books. Detroit better move to the SE.

3 games, 3 wins after the end of regulation. Once we got that PP in overtime, I just knew it was game over. Always nice to beat the Pens, even if they didn't have Marc Andre or Sid.

I concur. I was like, well if there ever was an opportune time for a pp it's in overtime. Also I feel like having Wideman in the lineup is a good thing. We really could've used him in the playoffs against TB. Also one more mention I know it's only 3 games but I love what RomN Hamrlik brings to the table on the pk and d.

Surprisingly indeed. Last nights game was really good, what a goaltending match it turned out to be until the third period. I'm liking the new additions to the team so far.

Well I won't speak for others, but for me I don't particularly want to get too excited about the regular season. Because we've had a couple of dominant regular seasons only to falter in the playoffs. So if we're not playing in at least the conference finals, I'll consider this season another disappointment

SS, fair enough. I wouldn't suggest to get our hopes up (agree with your barometer of success) just enjoy the wins while they come!

Beats talking about how Beck is the next coming and how the financial crisis in Europe comes back to Kyle's playcalling.

Anybody watching the caps putting up 3 on the wings so far tonight? Greenie with 2 goals and Johannsen with the other one. And right as I type this the wings get a 5 on 3 for 30 seconds. Either way they've played pretty good so far tonight.

5-1, and I believe they're getting outshot almost 2:1. Still stand by what I said earlier, but this is impressive

I think outside of a Cup appearance the season is a disappointment.
