I hear you but perception can be based in reality and for as far back as I remember ( jimmy carter) I have never seen anything remotely close to the reaction from the right when Trump lost.

Truthfully, 95% of that was Trump leading the charge on a full on insurrection and continually lying about the results of the election. He was already prepping his base for election lies even prior to the election. He repeatedly told them over and over again that if he lost the election, it would be because it was stolen from him or it was rigged. He did the same thing in 2016.

There has never been a President that has been so damaging to our democracy than Donald Trump. Sadly, the conservative media helped him perpetrate those lies as well, which is why they are losing lawsuits.

Another big difference between now and then is social media. Now, we see everybody's reactions even when we don't want to.
