You failed to fit in Haslett, Danny Smith, Gano anywhere in that though. Props for the Gaffney reference.

Setting Garcon aside, I'm of the view talent isn't our issue. Defensively, we still are better suited for a 4-3 scheme. You make that switch with smart d coordinator and we're a top 10 defense, even with the current state of our secondary. Offensively, we've been great this year as long as RG3 keeps the pigskin about half our rushing downs. Take that factor out of the equation, as seen in the last two games, and the offense is closer to average than elite. My suspicion, though I hope I'm wrong, is that Kyle's play-calling becomes ever more predictable as has always been the case with him. And that likely translates into offensive anemia. Same with the offense as with the defense, we have the talent to be consistently good. Obviously, the line cannot be great with the likes of Polumbus waddling around out there, and if we lose Trent the line falls to pieces. But we've got an elite TE, an average WR corp that if schemed properly will consistently move the chains, a solid ground attack and a QB with elite skills.

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts
Someone needs to look up that Garcon free agent thread. People around here were so damn happy, acting like we just signed Jerry Rice. Garcon has never had a 1,000 season or 10 td's. I still think it's way too early to go sour on the guy but no way was he worth 42 million.

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts
The Rams will be a dangerous team in the very near future. 3 years from now they might be what the early 1990s Dallas Cowboys were then. I expect them to be a playoff team by the start of the 2015 season. As far as how far they'll go is anyone's guess.

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts
I think theres a good shot the Rams make the playoffs now. AZ is declining since they have no OL, Seattle has a rookie QB who is streaky. Packers ain't doing too good. Minnesota may be a fluke, with not a great secondary. Atlanta is the only good team in the south. The whole NFC is gonna beat each other up and send probably just one team again to the playoffs.

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts
Garcon is 5 games in to his Redskin Career.. he doesn't have 550 yards w/ 4 TD's.. He's a bust obviously.

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts
Pierre Garcon is not a bust. he has 9 receptions for 180 something yards with a 19 yard per catch average and 1 TD. As we all know, he's been hurt. There's 11 games left for him to do damage.

I was being sarcastic lol. I have faith in him. I can't speak on the behalf of others though.

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts
For some reason, I don't think much of Josh Morgan. I admire him only because he's a DC native. He has produced, but his game is limited a bit. Hankerson I think is still developing. By his third year he'll be dangerous. I like how he contributed in the game against the Bucs. Aldrick Robinson has potential too. If he's to be the Redskins version of Victor Cruz, he needs to stop lolly gaggin' and let it all hang out.
